The Games Creator DarkSDK: With version 1.1.1b, DarkSDK getting to be pretty perfect. The ease of DarkBasic Profession with Visal Studio allows the programmer to do so much more (and quicker too).

Whilst it won't provide commerical quality games, it can get pretty near if you have quality artist, musicians etc etc - the engine is pretty fast and powerful, and easy to use. Interfacing with DirectX is possible and more work with that has been promised.
