Good Points: Wine List, Value for Money, Atmosphere,
Bad Points: Stairs on entry - no disabled access and the steps could prove quite difficult for elderly people. The bar has no premium lagers on draft - only in bottles.
General comments: Fine service and a good range of wines available. Very good value for money. I have been to many Italian Restaurants in Sunderland and now will only return to Lucianos as I think it is the only reliable pizzeria in the area. It has a superb atmosphere and the food has always been very good.If one of your party has a birthday, they will also sing happy birthday and place a sombrero on the birthday girl/boys head. It is also child friendly and operates a early evening special from 5pm - 7pm and lunchtime specials also.If you want somewhere decent to eat in Sunderland I would strongly recommend. Booking is essential for most nights though.

I dine there about 3 times a month and have been dining there for 5 year now; I have been to all the other places in the town centre and nowhere compares to this place.....happy dining.- Read Guest's review (60 words)

Really poor experience, a smile from the waiting staff wouldn't go a miss. I think someone should tell the COOKS about salt and pepper! Not much flavour at all in any of the food that we had. My overall view is this place is lacking in many areas. Feel they really need to improve on the basics!- Read Guest's review (90 words)

The service at the Pizzeria Luciano restaurant in Sutherland is second-to-none. The food has always been brilliant every time we have been. There is a wonderful Italian atmosphere, especially when it's your birthday. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a truly fabulous Italian feel!- Read GemmaJane's review (65 words)
