Good Points: Excellent French cooking with modern international influences.

Bad Points: Full booked most Saturday night.

General comments: Elizabeth's of Eastgate if a great historic restaurant in Rocheter, mentioned in Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. The Tudor building retains many original features.

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for our anniversary dinner on the basis of the previous review on this site, the quality of the menu and their commitment to excellence in food sourcing, preparation and service (as stated on their web-site). I enjoy fine dining and have eaten at top restaurants the world over. Elizabeth's is first class and the best we have been to in the UK during the last 6 months since we have been here.

I would definitely recommend the Elizabeth's of Eastgate restaurant in Rochester to anyone who likes good food and appreciates good service. Best restaurant in Kent in my opinion. I can't understand why it hasn't won any awards yet.
