Three years ago, I visited Widermere. When I started to enter a cafe for diner, a stranger who was living in windermere approached me and said that chinese restarant over there was really nice. He said that he could treat me. And we enterd the chinese reastarant. He asked what kind of food I liked. I said that I liked vegetables. The Magic Wok, has the best Chinese food I have ever had! The Deep Fried Crispy Beef is my favorite dish. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the staff are friendly. (read more)

visited Americano on 3 different occasions and it has been superb every time
The menu hasnt changed in a year or so but if it aint broke why fix it.
The steaks are always very juicy and flavourful. It is a joy to keep on returning

We visited The Magic Wok Chinese restaurant in Windermere on the evening of 10-06-2006 to celebrate our 39 year wedding anniversary. We had the seaweed special for starters, which was excellent, followed by very crispy and tender Peking barbecued pork ribs-the, and they were the best we have tasted for a long time! We finished off with sweet and sour chicken and king prawns with fried rice, and ended up licking the dishes as it was so nice! There are only about 8 tables, so it is advisable... (read more)

The Magic Wok in Windermere is my favourite restaurant in the Lake District. They do the nicest Sweet and Sour chicken I have ever tasted. The service is good and the place is nice with a good atmosphere. The service is also very friendly. After a hard day bobbing up and down mountains this is definitely the best way to recharge your batteries for another day on the hills! (read more)
