    Good Points: 2 poolsspar supermarketgames room for the kidsbeuty parlour on site


    Bad Points: ignorant staff noisy nieghbours and generally all youngstersbanging doors constantly all night


    General comments: Hi all , recently stayed in the Apart hotel Columbus with my girlfriend ,8th may - 20th may it was clean and what we paid for fully newly decorated room and cleaned daily .As someone else mentioned on this review if you get a road side room above the function room it is VERY VERY noisy the windows dont seal properly so lets all the road and people noise in , also alot of young people stay here mainly 18/30s and are very noisy everynight / early hours of the morning 4/5 am we got awoken to the sound of people next door coming in shouting unnecessary things and banging drawers and doors! i had to buy earplugs it was that bad !! we complained to security and they told next door it was us who complained so tip is you cant even complain because it causes hassle for yourselfs ! some days this spoilt the holiday because your tired and lethargic .The staff here are very ignorant .No good for the mature couples or familys with young kids who can be easily woken , The pools are decent with 2 overall spaces for sunbathing they say its a heated pool but isnt, the other side of the apartment block where the heated pool is is usually dead and gets the sun there all day . Me and my girlfriend COULD not stay here again , we would definitely go back to Playa de Las Americas but not stay there. like people say its only somewhere to lay your head but you cannot even do that !!Thanks for reading

    Good hotel, clean, everything you could hope for really. There was a hospital up the road from the hotel, which you could hear sirens every 5 mins, during the night. Overall, excellent hotel

    Columbus Aparthotel Playa de las Americas - Thomson HolidaysMy wife and I went to Columbus Aparthotel Playa de las Americas from Feb 15-20, 2008. Tenerife was awesome and beautiful weather everyday and we very much liked the town Playa de las Americas. Lots to see and do. We would recommend anyone to go there however watch out for bad service from the Thomson Holidays Travel agents!!!It is a pain to get the drinks one at a time and they make it very inconvenient.     I LOVED THIS HOLIDAY SO MUCH THE BEST EVER THERE WASNT ONLY THINGS TO DO FOR ADULTS CHILDREN TO THEY PROVIDED COMPUTERS AND LOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT DOWNSTAIRS
    I AM HOPING TO GO THIS YEAR TO AND CANT WAIT :)

    I loved it there me and my friend really enjoyed it....cant wait to go back next year the holiday was so fun and the area was lively just what you want for a young persons holiday !!!

    There were lots of things to do through the day and night at the Aparthotel Columbus in Playa De Las Americas. Los Cristianos beach is only a 2 minute taxi away, and it is lush. It is also close to pubs and clubs, which were brilliant. The hotel was OK. The room wasn't that big, but it was clean, and the cleaners came every other day, washed the dishes and tidied the whole apartment. The food on-site was OK, and it wasn't very expensive. I would definitely go back.

    Nightly entertainment for a family at Aparthotel Columbus in Playa de Las Americas is brilliant! The kids are kept entertained, and the newly refurbished rooms are good.

    The big pool was too cold, so it needs warming up, as more people would use it then, and the children's disco should be more organised, but it was an overall excellent holiday for the family. There is enough to keep the energetic going, yet plenty of loungers for those wanting the sun.

    The Aparthotel Colombus in Playa De Las Americas should be 18 an to 30 club, as there is a Spanish all night disco in the basement.

    Our first floor, main roadside apartment was at times unbearably noisy from cars honking horns unnecessarily, ambulances with annoying sirens and thumping music from the disco directly underneath us until the early hours of the morning. Not exactly a relaxing atmosphere.
    The restaurant food was absolutely disgusting; we only had the experience once as we were self-catering thank god! But rarely have I endured such revolting food, even the orange juice was acrid to the point of being undrinkable ...

    Overall, the Columbus hotel was a plus. - I enjoyed the stay, the night entertainment was traditonal Spanish, light music etc at night. Many germans in the hotel. - Along with a lot of British too.
    The reception werent the politest of people but seeing what they deal with, I understand why.
    However, be aware you will pay for everything you have, 7 euro's for one wash in the washing machines.....!!!!
    Deposits for playing games etc etc...
    The bar would hint for a tip everytime... by giving y ...

    In the Playa de Las Americas, Aparthotel Columbus there is a Supermarket, hairdressers, bakery, Chinese, pizzeria, games room, Jacuzzis on the roof top! fantastic hotel!

    Also in great location, far enough from clubs so it's not too noisy but close enough to walk to. Close to loads of great restaurants, shops and the beach.

    Playa de Las Americas, Aparthotel Columbus - Had a fantastic holiday in Las Americas helped greatly by Thomsons holiday reps, specifically their freestyle reps. Didn't eat in the hotel so I can't really coment on that, but if like me you are self catering, there is a reasonably priced mini market on site. Also a plethora of restaurants nearby.
    For party animals, the brilliant night life is a 2 minute walk away, Recommended bars: Leonardos, O'Neils (get your shots from Andrea), O'Malleys, Lineke ...
