Good Points: Lovely location
Bad Points: Poor quality and quantity buffet. Overcrowded venue.
General comments: At the £35 per head we paid the Rivington Hall Barn, Bolton, Lancashire, we felt ripped off. It seemed that the buffet food was low standard- 1/2 pork pie and pizza! The chocolate fountain disappeared before we had even eaten our buffet food
The venue was overcrowded, we think that they provided poor quality catering - there were 30 min queues to get to the buffet.
I will never go again for a Christmas function and will not recommend the venue to others I feel very disappointed given the cost. In my opinion, they need to change the format as there were not enough staff serving food. WE thought that the wait was unacceptable.
We were crammed in a corner and couldn't hear announcements.
In our opinion, the dance floor was tiny, it was a really poor night out - overpriced and not good value for money.

We'd chosen our meal from the rang ...
