Good Points: Convenient and secure password management for businessEasy deployment and customizationCorporate security improvement Increase of employee productivity Decrease of IT costs for organizations.

    Bad Points: Mac OS incompatibility?

General comments: Recently I read a review by Rok about Handy Password software where he recommends using the program in organizations. He is right in principle and Handy Password is undoubtedly a good choice for organizing and managing confidential information, be it online or offline. Built-in password generator, autosave and autosubmit functions, bookmark manager and a whole heap of other useful things make Handy Password one of the best password managers I've ever seen and not for personal use only. The functionality of the application allows successfully using it in offices. It can really keep all corporate logins and passwords, save time on filling in checkout forms and let employees work more efficiently. However, the version Rok describes in his review is old and there is an issue related to the corporate security. The point is that all the information kept in the program database was accessible to the user who could easily use it to suit his own ends. At the moment when Rok's review was posted this might have not much importance, now while data-security requirements are constantly being toughen this represents a problem. But Handy Password developers coped with this issue. The new version is quite another matter. First of all, the program was considerably improved and added some excellent features. Among them are the ability to work with both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, USB Flash drive installation, Vista compatibility... This would add value to any software, right? But this is not the whole story. The most important thing implemented in the application not long ago is the password administration option that turns Handy Password into a full-fledged corporate password manager that allows system administrators to secure corporate web services and data from an unauthorized access and efficiently manage login information in multi-user environment. The new feature makes it possible to keep all internal or external logins and passwords used to access corporate services fully protected from theft, loss or using to cause damage to private property. Using this option system administrators obtain full control over corporate passwords. Handy Password is installed on user machines and provides access to all corporate resources an employee is authorized to work with without filling out checkout forms manually. The program does this for him automatically and the user knows neither passwords nor logins as he does not see them while logging in. This information is stored in a secured database and available only to the system administrator who can easily change it when needed. To change a password needed to access to a service, there is no need to provide users with new passwords, it's enough to change it in the databases. All logins and passwords will be stored in a secured multi-user password database and invisible to users when filling in checkout forms with Handy Password. The user will never know what data the application operates with, everything he will know is a Master password assigned by the administrator and needed to start working with the program. Thus having left the enterprise a former employee will not be able to get access to corporate network unless he is authorized to do so. Access to corporate services becomes more secured, login information will never be stolen. Passwords will never be forgotten or lost by employees who do not need anymore to write them on sticky notes or make browsers remember them putting the important information at risk.
