I was not that impressed by this restaurant but it was OK, I guess. I was here only once and the food was good enough. It was freshly prepared and delicious. However, there was something missing from the overall feel of the place. Anyway, you can check it out if you're in the area. (read more)

I've been four times in this restaurant. I'm a returning guest. The food is very delicious (but at last I was a little bit disappointed for the deep-frozen chips). The staff is very nice and friendly. About the critics didn't shall be provided. This place is a small and nice restaurant, an 'original pearl'. (read more)

Having seen on the local news, how Greenwich Market was suffering for trade during the Olympics, I decided to visit and give them support. Unfortunately, I chose to have breakfast last Sunday at this cafe. It did look a greasy spoon place, but they can be a safe bet for a good economic breakfast. (In the London Bridge area anyway) The full English whilst reasonably priced at £4.90, was dreadful! A plate swimming in stale grease and extremely cheap and nasty sausage. I went to pay for two... First impressions were pretty average but then we both had the seafood platter. Lobster, crab, prawns, langoustines, oyster and scollop in a delicious sauce. Excellent meal. Highly recommended restaurant. (read more)

What a find! Fancied fish and that's exactly what I got! Lovely staff and fantastic menu. Too much to choose from. Ended up with a fishplatter for me and it was delicious. Plenty of mussels, scallops, oysters, octopus, crayfish, crab and my favourite lobster! Will definately be going there again and already looking forward to it! Place could do with freshening up a little and probably different choice in background music! Loved the place and really loved the food! Would recommend to any... (read more)

I went a short time ago for my celebration lunch break and might only point out that this place is dramatic, Celeste, superb, delicious. There likely aren't enough adjectives to spell it out this places seigneurie.there were starters, mains and desserts and many types of four persons had absolutely nothing to complain about, for our grandkids, that claims a lot and we were still talking on the subject of how good it absolutely was this morning. Our waitress was talkative and contributed his... (read more)

We searched for a place around Greenwich to have our Fish and Chips on Sat 2nd July 2011 and we came across the Beachcomber Seafood Restaurant. We heard good things about it and decided to treat ourselves. After a prolonged wait, we ordered the Cod & Plaice with chips and it all seemed fine. We were aware of the greenflies on the nearby window but beyond that thought nothing of it. The food came and everything seemed fine. It was somewhat on the expensive side for the quality but the... First time visit for a party of 6.We were seated, drinks orders taken whilst we pondered on what staters and mains to have. We did not have to wait long for our starters of soups, prawns, whitebait & calamari, which we all shared and enjoyed. Mains were lobsters, salmon, scallops and steak and coffee liquers, desserts, good wine, beers, vodka and champagne.
I would say there is something on the menu for everyone and good prices.
The staff were very very friendly and attentive (Thank you). I...

Absolutely revolting is what comes to mind and I'm not that fussy. I think we were served by either the owner or the manager of the restaurant and he was pretty damn rude right at the start.
My baby seabass was all bone and no meat. Very dry indeed.
I said that I didn't want to pay a tip as a consequence of my experience and he said it was mandatory to pay it. As you can imagine we were a little angry.
Please do not waste your money in here.

On December 26, 2004, my wife was served a meal at Beachcomber Seafood Restaurant that contained a hard, green (probably glass) object that broke one of her teeth. There were four others in our party who witnessed this. The owner acknowledged the problem at that time, but has, so far, not even responded to my request that he pay for the repair if the tooth, about 400 English pounds.
I think people should be made aware of this.
