“Didn't do what they promised.”

As a dealer we need insurance docs to register bikes. We (dealer and the customer) were twice promised e-mails which just didn't arrive on time. And £1.02 per minute to talk to someone is more than most other brokers. I will not be using them again… Read Full Review

“Premium Rate Contact Number”

This has to be the worst insurance company in the UK. Not only are they extremely slow to contact you regarding the claim they fail to keep you informed. My vehicle repair has been waiting for their engineer to assess for approval for 10 days. “Garaging at a deferent address. ”

It worries me I garage my bike at my daughters house and no where on ebike insurance forms is a place to record this, I even called them at premium rates with this problem and told put my address on the form but the post code of where its garaged! Can I really trust a pay out if something happened to my bike? Insured with them for a few years then my renewal arrives, premium gone up from GBP152 to GBP550 after no change in circumstances. Tried emailing them to find why - no answers. Then the dreaded phone call was needed - twice waited 15 minutes on their high rate number. (This must be done deliberately as you listen to thier unending adverts). “5 urgent e-mails in 6 days, no reply”

I've been with ebike insurance for less than three weeks. 6 days ago i recived an e-mail requesting a copy of my licence or my policy would be cancelled and i would be charged. I have moved house and I am waiting for my new licence to arrive. I have repeatedly e-mailed them asking what should be done, so far no reply. Since writing my first review I have phoned ebike on their premium rate phone line @£1.02 / minute from a land line, still waiting for my mobile bill to get a cost of the 11 minute call. I explained the situation and they confirmed they had my e-mails but their system had automatically closed them.

My licence arrived that same day so I sent the copies as per their instructions, each morning for three days. 5 days later I had another e-mail telling me I now have 3 days to send my licence. Their systems are obviosly not up to the job and their phone line is a money making device.

I would ask you all to concider if you should use an on line insurance service (which is not the cheapest) if their systems don't work? You take out insurance because you have to and for peace of mind. I am likely to find myself uninsured in 3 days, therefore breaking the law, and I have no confidence that ebike insurance has the systems or competence to handle a claim should the need arrise.

My issue with e bike was due to having an accident on a weekend and trying to report this. I rang the claim number 0845 ----- where you were given 3 options, after choosing the option I needed the call was supposed to transfer to the claims dept but instead went this number not recognised. I had the misfortune to insure two bikes with these clowns a few years ago - a Yamaha and a Suzuki. The Yamaha was written off in an accident which was not my fault (car driver admitted liability and was cautioned by the police. Took nearly a year to get my money. But that's not the best of it. Cancelled insurance after paying in full. I apparently still owe them money shocked but I paid that as well. I have insured with them for many years and never claimed. I took out motorcycle insurance with ebike last April. I cancelled the policy and chose to have it end after the final direct debit was paid. This may or not have been exactly one year after the policy was taken out, but in any case ebike have just informed me I owe them £44. My bike is modified, so some won't even quote, and others see you as an easy target to rip off. I've been with ebike for a good few years now. Every renewal I get quotes from other companies for comparison but as yet no one has beat them. Like most things in life it would seem there are different views on this Insurance site. I have to say when I first started with them there was a slight delay in them finding/accepting my NCD which was over 20 years. However since that small hiccup everything has been fantastic. I just renewed my bike insurance on my mobile from bed at 7.30am on a Sunday. EBike makes it all very simple, especially at renewal time. I have tried comparison website to see if I can get better deals, but in terms of overall cost and convenience I have stayed loyal to EBike. Do not consider insuring a bike with this outfit. Just read the reviews and go elsewhere. Dealing with them is a nightmare. They are to be avoided at all costs unless you really do want high phone bills, stress and frustration. I am in the process of parting company with e bike as they have just increased my premium by 400% without an explanation. I have never claimed and have max no claims discount.
