Good Points: Well pretty much everything.
Bad Points: I wish it had a shoulder strap (it would look really cool if it came with a bipod).
General comments: This is the first pellet gun I have ever owned It is awesome. I shot a 1 by 2 and it went all the way through it leaves big dents in a 55 gallon steel drum we use to burn stuff.
Punched all the way through a sheet metal sign. Also be careful - my neighbors thought it was a real gun. When you put the scope on there's a little set screw underneath the scope if you tighten that down it gets rid of the scope creep. The cocking effort is really light and the trigger pull is not bad at all if you're used to real rifles. Overall this gun is awesome I would buy it again in a heart beat.

This rifle does what it's supposed to do! Once sighted in, drop the crosshairs on the target and nail it! I was able to achieve a 1" pattern at thirty yards consistently. The only reason I didn ' t give it a ten is that the laser and light attachments aren't the best. It's defiantly a safe buy.

Overall a great gun for the price point and highly recommended for returning air gunners or just newbies to the sport . I would replace the stock trigger with the after market GRT III. Replace the scope and rings with a decent variable scope that can handle the double recoil of a magnum springer and prevent scope shift. The b-Square adjustable mounts are great for this highly recommended. also every gun is diffrent but use the crossman premiere hollow point pellets for medium range hunting and t ...

I bought the Gamo Varminter specifically for the purpose of routing deer, which have been feasting on all our shrubs and flowers like a turbo-charged gang-mower.
I imagine that it will serve that purpose, since stinging a grazing deer in the butt at 25-50 yards hardly requires precise marksmanship. But for the shooter who needs all the accuracy built into the Gamo Varminter, difficulty with trigger control could render it a less than ideal choice.

I got this today and i love it. I sighted the scope then i thought i might try it out. I shot a frog and it was an instant (im saying this to represent accuracy, not power). The laser and flashlight are pretty cool. The laser isn't dead on, though.

This gun is very nice over all but same with other spring guns the velocity of the bullet decreases.

The Gamo Varmint Hunter is a good allrounder. Theres nothing extra special about it but then theres nothing terrible. It does what you'd expect it to. Overall just a good gun, a lot of fun.

I have owned this gun for approximately 2years, and after buying every type of pellet on the market to get a decent grouping, I found the (Beeman Field Targets Specials) work like no other pellets, for those of you who cant get the rifle sighted in, give these a try. I can only shoot from about 30 yards, in my back yard, but can get guarter groups every shot, took 25 shots at a target, and hit the center 25 times, it cant get much better than that. You have to break in the gun, do this with t ...

For all of you guys that said accuracy was a problem you need to know 2 things. It takes 500 to 1000 rounds to get the rifle broken in. The other thing is ammo. You have to play with different pellets to find the one or ones your gun likes. The further the target, the better the ammo you will need. RWS superdome work great in my Hunter at ranges from 40 to 60 yds. Crosman premiers are good to about 30 yds. You will always get a few fliers from any pellet but certain pellets are worse than others ...

Rifle needs to be fine tuned. I would trade light and laser for accuracy.. I think I might send it back and get a better one.
