A delightful week at Sea Breeze despite one significant earthquake on 29th November and a bomb scare on 5th December (also affected several other hotels and buildings in Barbados). The staff coped very well with both incidents.

Sea Breeze is situated on the best beaches on the island, Maxwell and Dover. We effectively had a private beach for much of our stay .. beautiful clear azure sea super weather.total peace. The location is quite marked in its peace and tranquility compared with St Lawrence and Gap areas although these offer lots of evening activity and dining (try Pisces for superb seafood dinner).

The hotel grows on you throughout your stay. Initial impression was mixed despite a warm welcome. Our room on third floor had seen better days and needed refurbishment, mainly cosmetic although bathroom dated and tired looking. This was offset by a delightful view across the pool towards the sea. The food was enjoyable and good value (we were RO). The small kitchen area in our room was adequate for limited self catering.

Things were relatively clean although the lack of refurbishment detracts from the staff's efforts (old Formica surfaces and pitted taps). The staff were generally helpful and attentive noticeably when on duty.

In terms of value for money this property takes some beating. With some meaningful and focused investment the hotel could match the Bougainvillea some 400 metre's away as it enjoys greater privacy with its three beaches.

Very convenient for Oistins, try Georges king fish as you enter the fry in on Fridays, and The Gap with its extensive range of good eating places. Taxis very reasonable but for a real taste of the island use the local buses (blue and minibuses).fun and friendly! Supermarkets easily available and good value, well stocked and excellent service. Prices generally similar to UK

Certainly an island worthy of repeat visits. Friendly and excellent value. Sea Breeze needs some TLC and investment but it's a real hotel with a genuine flavour not plastic or artificial. It reflects Barbados! Enjoyable stay!

My husband and I came to the Sea Breeze Hotel, Christchurch on our honeymoon after our trip to the Maldives was cancelled. Upon arrival our honeymoon was not recognised there was not wine, flowers or fruit in the room.
We had a pleasant time but will certainly not be returning and definitely not recommending it to others.

At meal times the food was not replenished after it had run out this as about 8 pm! There was a wedding party of 45 also staying at the hotel who proceeded to take over. ...
