Bad Points: Internal memory not best , but can upgrade with memory card
Not the loudest ringer
General comments: Had for 18 months and has endured a hard life. My 3 year old son can use it to find games and send texts so cannot be that hard. Tough. has been dropped countless times and still works.

Chose this phone as an upgrade, due to a love of Nokias and the number of features this phone had. The slide is nice, and the phone looks good; changeable covers are useful as I am prone to dropping my phone. The music player sounds good with the supplied headset, damn the pop-port connection though as it gets worn out so easily! Got to say this is the most love-hate relationship I've ever had with a Nokia!
From new this phone was in the habit of randomly restarting itself; it was returned t ...- Read amethyst28's review (290 words)

The Nokia 6280 really put me off Nokia mobile phones. Back to Samsung for me I think! It has an awful battery life, almost to the point where it made the phone pointless. Very flimsy build quality, and the screen was scratched badly after only a week in my pocket. The charger for the phone is as poor quality as the phone itself. Bought two replacements before buying a multi charger from Tesco.- Read wato2207's review (85 words)

I am at the very end of a long tether with this phone, to the point I rang 3 today and asked how much to buy another 3 compatible phone from them to continue my contract so I don't have to endure any more time and effort with this. In the end I have opted to purchase one from Ebay as the cheapest 3 could offer me was a reconditioned at £99.99! What can I say AVOID this phone. I swore by Nokia, thought they were the best phones around as I have tried other makes in the past and never been a ...- Read Sappho1971's review (293 words)

They don't make 'em like they used to. It's a cliche phrase, but one which I keep hearing about Nokia's new phones and now it's one I'm finding myself telling people.
The 6280 is the latest in a long line of Nokia phones I have owned, and after the over-complicated 6680 which was prone to slow running and crashing I decided I wanted a break from the world of smartphones. Now, after six months, I'm thinking of cutting my losses and going back to the 6680.
Out of the box it's a lovely phone. ...- Read KrupaCymru's review (969 words)

I have always liked Nokia phones. I like their quality and their menu structure, but this is a major warning to any potential business user of this phone.....don't! The battery life is dreadful. I spend my whole life staggering from one charge to the next, my phone spends more time bleeping at me because the battery is dying than it does with text messages or voicemail. I'm not even a particularly heavy user, but whenever I really need it, it's about to die. For me personally, I think that 3g se ...- Read pierscorfield's review (207 words)

A very stylish phone with all the features you can wish for, but I wish the Nokia 6280 didn't have so many annoying niggles. Often for no reason "phone restricted" flashes up, meaning I have to turn it off and back on again to do anything. The reception is very patchy, I can have 4 bars one minute and nothing the next. When I first got it texts failed because it kept deleting the message centre number. To send even a fairly small multimedia I have to delete loads of stuff, memory is low. When b ...- Read terrier's review (159 words)

Nokia 6280 is a really nice looking phone with some great features, good screen quality and the keyboard is just about the right size, pictures come out as good as the digital camera that cost a fortune. Overall I'm really happy with this phone, probably the best I've had in the last 14 years and have gone through many, many phones.- Read The Thompsons's review (85 words)

I have always been a fan of Nokia phones till now! The Nokia 6280 has the potential to be a decent phone if it worked. The reliability of Nokia was always top notch but with their new range and especially the 6280, times have changed! I have had the phone 6 months and like many people I know, have had nothing but problems which can never be properly fixed. Endless freezing on many features combined with terrible battery life makes this phone a disaster! Go for the w810i!!- Read vayzee's review (86 words)

I had the Nokia 6280 for 5 months before selling it for something new. I was never that happy with the 6280 for various reasons and didn't want to wait a full 12 months for an upgrade. The phone does have good points, the screen really is good (240x320) and is bright and clear and the videos that can be filmed are the best I've seen on any phone (better than the n80). They film at 640x480 at 15fps and even look good on the PC but there's not much else good to say about it.
Here are some ...- Read norris444's review (703 words)

Overall the Nokia 6280 is a brilliant phone. I love the design, the big screen, etc! The bigger the memory card you put in, the more items you can put on it. I've got full music video's on mine in mp4 format, it's great. The only problem I had with mine was that it kept re-setting itself, but 3 phones later (don't let that put you off), this one is excellent, it has better firmware in it (3.81). I stuck with it because I liked the phone. I like Nokia's. I have in the past had different phones bu ...- Read tatty ted's review (130 words)
