    We had a wonderful 2 night stay here the Caledonian Hilton in Jan 2009. Beautiful room with views of castle. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast very nice. Would happily stay here again

    Caledonian Hilton is a VERY nice hotel with a very nice "grand" main staircase at the western end of Princes street with Castle views (though the castle "view" was really at a distance. 5 star hotel with 3 VERY nice restaurants serving some VERY nice food -(Pompadour (£35 a head for 3 courses), Chisolms (£25 a head for 3 courses), Henry j Beans (price unknown)). Wine starts at around £20 a bottle upwards (Champagne was between £30 and £50 a bottle). 24 hour room se ...
