Good Points: Boots vouchers arrived within a week of sending an email to contact@topscard.com
Bad Points: After 9 months of trying to reach Tops by telephone
General comments: I had almost given up on receiving my Tops vouchers. After numerous telephone calls over a 9 month period, on 4 January 2008 I decided to send an email as a final attempt before throwing the paperwork. Two days later I received my Boots vouchers.

I applied for my redemption from my Total Top Card before the due closing date in May, or whenever, 2007. I forgot about it until I went for petrol in October 2007. I spoke to the lady at the garage and she advised me to contact the number on the card. No satisfaction. I was told the garage would have my records and they haven't. I was given an address to write to, but it isn't complete. I am less than impressed!!!

I redeemed my 5000 loyalty points on my total tops cards 12th April 2007 and still haven't had my marks and Spencer vouchers. The garage has told me there is a 'back log' !! I think we should all talk to Watchdog.

After spending a lot of money purchasing Total unleaded petrol, I suddenly found all my accumulated points disappeared. After many emails to Tops scheme, I finally got them reinstated. When I received notification of the scheme ending, I duly applied for redemption of my points in order to receive my vouchers. No such luck - they now have informed me no application was made for redemption. The whole scheme stinks and I will no longer purchase Total petrol.

I collected more than 33,000 Total Tops card points up to May 2006. Then I retired and did not use my card much, and I did not visit a Total station. In late May I went to a Total petrol station, only to be told that the scheme had ended, and would I like my points redeemed. I have heard nothing since, and Total say they have no record of the redemption.
So for around 5 years, spending around £7500 on fuel under a promise to reward loyalty, amounts to NOTHING! Just because Total deci ...

On the 29/3/2007 I cashed in my Total points for 6 Boots vouchers. I still haven't received them. I am not very happy after collecting them for so long, and being loyal to the garage.

I have a Total Account Card from my employer - they pay my petrol - the TOPS CARD used to give me a voucher every so often, but they seem to have a bug in the system which loses points, which I guess is why they dropped it completely now, avoiding paying out any due vouchers too.
The good news which Total Account Card users may not know, is that you can drive straight by the Total station and into either a BP or a Shell station - both of these offer loyalty points and accept the Total Account ...

Why oh why were we not told about the closing date? I use about £30 petrol daily due to my job! I will not use a Total garage again if I loose the points on my Total Tops Loyalty card! I have always been pleased with the Total garages before this!

I have 28075 points currently.
I need 1925 more for my next complete £5.
= 385 Litres needed (at 5points per litre).
= £340.73 ( 88.5p/l average in area).
= 11.4 weeks (£30/week roughly for us).
= 2.8 months (4wk per month).
so £340 to make up the £1.92 needed.
BP
1 nectar point per L
340L to use in the same time will make us
£1.70
So Total is more worth while than BP (plus its closer!) ...

With a Total Tops Card you need to spend over £900 on fuel to get a £5 voucher!!! Morrisons Miles is the best loyalty card scheme. You get a £5 Morrisons voucher for every 333.3 litres of fuel. Failing that Nectar cards give you £5 for £500 worth of fuel (bout 500 - 600 litres) and I believe Tesco club card is the same. Total is the biggest rip off I've ever seen.

Total Tops Card changed the card from a Total Tops Gold card to a Tops card.com where you had to get your vouchers on the Internet. I did this and found that in changing cards they have removed a load of points that I had, ditto the review below.
I have tried complaining since Mar 2006, but without any single person taking responsibility. It is now September and no replies to my emails. Using this card is a total waste of time!

They changed the card from a Total Tops Gold card to a Tops card.com where you had to get your vouchers on the internet.
I did this and found that in changing cards they have removed a load of points that I had...they have done the same to my dad.
I complained about this in August, it is now December and even after a call to the Chairman's office at Total they have still not got my points amount back to what it was in August when they made me get one of their new cards!
What a TOTAL shower an ...

The correct information for using the Total Tops loyalty card is 1 litre equals 5 points, which mean 1,000 litres to earn a £5 voucher. At current 86p a litre this will cost around £860 for £5 back, or on average motoring £30 every 2 years, but I guess it is better than NOTHING.

Total Tops Card Total waste of time,
Spent many thousands on petrol, it seems that 5 points is gained for 1 litre of fuel, and 5,000 points is worth £5 voucher, this means you have to buy 1000 litres of fuel to get £5. Now call me silly, but at say 95p per litre that means you have to actually spend nearly £5,000 to get £5 back.... a return of only 0.1% !!!!
That means... the normal anuual fuel bill is £2,500 meaning that it will take two years to earn a &poun ...

Seriously how much do you have to spend on Total Tops Card to get any points back? I've been using my Tops card at Total Petrol stations off and on for 5 years and never got a penny back. I honestly think I must have spent over a grand thee filling up and I don't yet qualify to get a fiver back? What is the point in that then? Maybe I'll start using it again if I ever by a Petrol Guzzling sports car and a job as a Sales Rep, until then my loyalties will lie elsewhere.
