    Good Points: 1)Gorgeous setting, lovely gardens and view
    2)Food was of good quality
    3)Staff helpful
    4)Free internet access
    5)Welcome bottle of maderia wine and fruit in our room


    Bad Points: 1)Bathroom needed modernising, very dated - incinator system made loud noises throughout the night
    2)Bar setting was awful - very small area, everyone walking through to the dining room, and very uncomfortable chairs
    3)Staff charged different rates for the jacuzzi and sauna throughout the holiday


    General comments: Quinta Bella Vistas is A lovely hotel, if you prefer an older type hotel, with lots of antiques throughout. There are lovely lounge areas all throughout, plenty of space and peace and quiet. When we stayed, it was very cold and in the lounge areas, they lit big roaring fires- great! Gardens are lovely and staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble.

    The standard of the rooms let it down a bit, quite sparse, and at times I had bed sheets with holes in and grey dirty streaks, considering it was a 5 star hotel, I expected better then this. The bathrooms were really disappointing, very old, old green tiles and just small and not at all luxurious, again I expected more from a 5 star hotel. Very basic shower head, let it down, they really need to get their bathrooms together for 5 star expectations - shame
