Good Points: They kept the same actor to play George
Bad Points: Needless transition into 3D, bad control system, 70% of the puzzles involve boxes !
General comments: Coming after the first 2 masterpieces that were Broken Sword 1 and 2, the long awaited third in the series feels a bitter disappointment - especially for fans of the first 2 like me. Gone are the rich and colourful backgrounds of the first 2 games, replaced with bland, washed-out colours and very little of the finite details that made the first 2 such a pleasure to play through. George's voice is mercifully the same actor - if it wasn't, then I would have given this game an even lower rating. Finally add to the mix the fact that most of the puzzles are solved with the aid of boxes. BOXES !! Enough of the boxes already, Revolution !! I think the thing they overlooked when deciding to opt for this needless "next-gen" form of adventure game is that with story lines, voice acting and music as strong as Broken Sword's are, you don't NEED silly gimmicks to make a fine game. This one isn't - I sold mine after completing it at a car boot sale for £2 !
