I ordered goods on 23/09/09 money taken 26/09/09 cancelled order 19/10/09 have telephoned every other day and still not received my money back KEEP GETTING FOBBED OFF Although the performance marked is 1 star I would not give this Company any

As per the others on here - avoid.

This is because they claim to have products in stock but probably don't
and rely on getting it in stock once you've paid and ordered.

The process of getting the refund is the problem - seems like the number you ring don't deal with the refund and there's obviously a communication problem in getting it done.

Purchased a hdd video recorder, money taken out of account immediately. When viewing order online status kept saying in progress. Rang up to be told out of stock for another week or so. I said I wanted to cancel the order which they said they would and I would recieve a refund in 4 working days. Like everybody else the money never appears. Everytime you ring up they say it should have gone througn and accounts will authorise it again.

I had the worst experience of my life. They were nice while placing an order and delivered on time. The delivery man was a nightmare. One person was sent to deliver the american fridge freezer who could not even get it out of the truck and had attitude problem.
So friends be aware if you plan to buy anything from them. Their prices are not the cheapest if you include the price i had to pay others to get the fridge inside the house. They do not respond to written complain and there is no way to ...

I used to take these kind of online reviews with a pinch of salt thinking they had been cooked up by rivals of the business reviewed. Boy have I learnt a lesson! Read and learn!
Paid online for a TV on 27 August. Money deducted immediately from account. Both the website and a phonecall (to a premium rate 0871 number) assured me the item was in stock. ....i wish I had read this review website before the purchase, They book the item out straight away, Then after 4 weeks of waiting they make you wait another 4 weeks for a refund, only when the Credit card company have been contacted.and a claim put in.
These people are ripping off the public,they never reply to emails, only wait for you to phone there 0871 number. please find there landline number

AVOID THEM! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY SERVICE!!! My hassle started on 7 August when I oredered a camcorder from Digital Empire. They charged my card immediately for the £432.00. Ordered kitchen TV from Digital Empire. Website said it was in stock. 7 days later no tv, phoned up and was told out of stock, so I said I wanted a refund. So not only did they not have what they claimed on the website, it took me phoning them up to tell me. Approaching 3 weeks later and no refund, waiting for 4 weeks and then will take legal action.

Don't go near digital empire - cheapest prices, then no delivery and an 0871 number which is exorbitant. Ordered my bluray DVD and told it was in stock wiht immediate delivery. 7 days later no sign of it. I phone up and they tell me, v sorry etc, and guarantee a date when it will be delivered. I take a day off work (holiday!) and no delivery turns up. I phone up and given aload of apologies, but again, a week later, still no DVD player. I ordered my TV over four weeks ago from Digital Empire and paid right away. As of today, it still hasn't arrived. I have contacted them and have been constantly fobbed off. Am still awaiting refund despite being promised over a fortnight ago. Wish I'd checked out these other reviews!

Was informed that the item was in stock but after prompt payment - no delivery for a month! Now having to ring them almost daily to get our money back.

i ordered a tv from digital empire, they took the money from my account the day i placed my order which was fine, i called them a day before delivery , thats when they told me that the tv i bought was not in stock,i cancelled the order and they told me the money will be in my account within 7 working days, it's been over 3 weeks now and i'm still waitng for my moneym they don't even bother to call or email, i'm the one who is calling every day. i'm never buying from this company again.....

This company advertised that the washing machine I wanted was in stock with 3-4 days delivery.After purchasing the item and the money taken from my account,I had to ring to find out an expected delivery date only to be told there was 2-3 weeks delay. I therefore canceled this order and after several phone calls I am still awaiting a refund. I have been promised numerous call backs and after over 3 weeks am still no nearer a refund.

I ordered a tv on 27 july 2009 They took my money for £1533.00 and didnt even have the TV in stock. I am still waiting to get my money back over a month later. I have had to approach my credit card company for their help.

i purchase a TV from digitalempireonline on 27/07/2009, i have receive email of confirming my order, next day I receive phone from dispatch department to say that my TV is going to delivered on 30/07/2009,and in did we received tv yesterday, very happy with service, I recommend to anyone who wants to buy electronic goods for comparative price.

This company takes your money straight away which is fine when you assume the product is in stock and will be sent to you within the time span stated on their website. I called up after 2 days to check my delivery would be within that week and was told it would be the Thursday or Friday and I would receive a call 24 hours before delivery. This did not happen. I called them again and was told product was out of stock, yet 2 days before that I was told it was in stock and would be delivered. Alar ...

I am still awaiting the refund of the money to my card over a month after my order was cancelled by them. Three times they have stated that they have processed the refund, I have waited a few days and the money has not appeared. I shall be reporting them to trading standards (legally they are supposed to refund me within 30 days). I have found the customer service very friendly and I have even been emailed by one of the directors twice, but still no money. That has only served to make me anxious ...

Just bought a washing machine from Digital Empire Online. I didn't get told that the item was out of stock and so expected the item quickly. After a couple of phone calls I elicited a delivery date, but this then slipped and slipped. The people on the other end of the phone were always polite, and never mentioned any delay. When I phoned the last time, they said the item was in stock, and bought the delivery date forward a day because we had been waiting.

Had mega problems with Digital Empire, excuses after excuses.
They take your money and they dont even have the item in stock.
I eventualy had to go to the credit card company and it took me more than 1 month to get my money back almost £2000
Other companies i have dealt with charge my credit card the day or so before delivery. So be warned peeps
