it was a brilliant game, where it is as fast or slow as you want. From the speed of the common soldier, charging with rifle to the sniper who can be slow and deadly and also make the battle harder for the enemy... enjoyed internet best two missions to be in. Modern weapon in the map of Dawnville or the missions in capture the flag with the map of Foy. (read more)

Call of Duty is a brilliant PC game! It has brilliant graphics, and you can never get fed up with it, as there is are excellent multiplayer online modes. Great storyline as well. It is occasionally jumpy gameplay, but it's very rare. Well worth buying. I would definitely recommend. (read more)

Call of Duty is the best WWII first person shooter ever made. It beats Medal of Honour hands down with superior graphics, excellent weapon balance and great artificial intelligence from your comrades.
You get to play Call of Duty in 3 episodes, through the eyes of a British, Russian and American soldier. Each chapter is markedly different as you get to use weapons specific to that army and take part in county-specific weapons (such as defending Stalingrad as a Russian). The firefights can...

Call of Duty is a very good game. However I noticed that it likes to spoof other war films and put you in that role. For example the Russian part of the game is entirely based around "Enemy at the gates" and the American part is based on the "Band of Brothers series". However this does not put you off too much.
It is a typical first person shooter game, very similar to Medal of Honor, but with better graphics and of course the squad fighting part.
This is what seperates Medal of Honor and...

With broadband Call of Duty is simply stunning for online gaming. Even at nearly 40 I just love it and I don't play many games nowadays. No idea what the single player option is like - never played it. (read more)

Call of Duty is a good old FPS (first person shooter). It could be considered as similar to the Medal of Honour Games. However, I believe Call of Duty is one of the BEST games I have ever played because you actually FEEL like you're fighting in a war. The only way the developers could make this game any more real would be to put a "scratch and sniff" pad in the box. But really.... You start as an infantryman in the American army. After being parachuted down into France you begin your... (read more)

Call of Duty is a fantastic, though short game. You fight in various authentic locations but for me the best were Bastogne with the U.S. airborne, the Parachute Regiment at Pegasus bridge and at Stalingrad with the Russians, truly Epic battles. You get a sense of occasion, particularly at Stalingrad where you are given ammunition and no rifle and told you will be shot if you step backwards. You eventually pick up a rifle from a fallen comrade. I was killed many times trying to get up to the... (read more)

Watched Enemy at the gate? Liked it? Then you will LOVE Call of Duty! Possibly the only FPS to recruit you in the Russian army, as well as the American and English! The Multiplayer is insane! Although your computer must be competent enough you run it, and broadband is strongly advised, this game will have you hooked! Choose what weapon you want, then your launched into an intense battlefield with up to 50 other human players running around! This game is perfect, the most realistic, AND... (read more)

Call of Duty is by far the best WW2 fps ever. Medal Of Honour has forever been knocked from the top spot of world war 2 shooters. no game has matched COD in really creating a sense of fighting in world war 2, and in really created a sense of teamwork.
Its like playing a video game version of band of brothers, its absolutely brilliant.
Also I feel it is to be commendated for remembering that other countries besides america actually fought in the war as you get to play as the Russians and the...

Call Of Duty ROCKS . Lock and load boys and girls because its a fast paced super cool shooter of a game . Lovely graphics that outshine MOHAA . Fantastic gameplay and superb team AI in the single player game . Your platoon buddies give you cover and shout orders - excellent !
Missions are wildly different, from an airborne glider based attack as a british paratrooper to slogging through the sewers of stalingrad as a russian .
A lot of the missions are clearly influenced by classic films...

Call of Duty is a great fun game, endlessly inventive and original with a real 'in-the-thick-of-battle' feel to it, but, sadly, let down by lousy programming, animation and general motion smoothness - no matter what the tech setting selected. (read more)

I have an intel 1.7 p4,256meg ram,nvidia32meg graphics card and can run the game at medium settings without any of the afore mentioned problems, maybe the athlon processor is simply not up to the job, try running the game in safe mode and you will then see if its up to it.

I completely disagree with your rating, its completely wrong, the game runs fine, even on weak systems, and even if it didn't its still at least a 9 out of 10 game, what were you thinking??

Your computer mustn\'t be upto it, because I haven\'t had any problems like that.

Thanks for all the feedback. It plays great on my brother\'s pc too and his is almost half the spec of mine. I guess it\'s just one of those things. It\'s a great, great game, but I can\'t play it! Every other game plays smooth as a baby\'s ass! Nevermind. Once again thanks for for helping me ID my system as being at fault.

I dunno what youve been smoking but the frame rate of Call of Duty is fine! This game is worth every penny. (And for the record, Rainbow Six 3 is appalling!)

I love this game sooooooooo much! I love that I finally get a group of AI buddies that are competent...I'm so over being the lone soldier and being the one man that won the whole war! As for the technical stuff the game seems to run fine on my computer even running on a 32 mb graphics card and low end processor.

i have none of the problems with graphics that you report . Rig is xp2500 ,512 meg ram and 9800 non pro . I have every setting maxed out . I get no slow downs or any problems at all .

Possibly you could try reducing the graphical options if you are having problems . Of course a lot of this game is the graphics .
