I have a 2001 renault megane privilege + soft top.I absolutely love it. No leaks even in torential rain. No problems recommending it. Very responsive and she looks a stunner. Always turns heads and gives this 40+ women the satisfaction of seeing boy racers look the other way!

Part ex-d my much loved MGF for a beautiful black 53 plate Renault Megane 2.0 VVT. Love it. Good visibility, extremely Comfortable. All the extras. An absolute pleasure to drive. Power hood is quiet and efficient. Plenty of boot space. My husband is 6 feet tall and he can sit comfortably on the rear seat much to our daughter's delight. Delighted with vehicle. Will take a car not yet in production to consider parting with this beaut. Brilliant family convertible.

I find that the car suits its purpose very well as a semi sport convertible, very comfortable and positive drive, fantastic with the roof down, a cute little car with a lot of space for its size.

Renault Megane Cabriolet 2.0 16v VVT Privilege+ Sports Car Review
This is a 2002 car and was among the last of the 'old' shape Meganes. Being the top of the range it has all the toys, Full leather interior, All 4 electric windows, Air Conditioning, Front Fogs, 16" alloys, Electric roof.

It rides well and corners like a 206 GTi (Which is very good on twisty roads). There were a few rattles from various pieces of interior trim but these do not detract from the driving experience.

The engine is quiet on tick over and due to the light weight (1160Kg) and 140HP Variable Valve engine it can hustle along when you want it to. Fuel economy is around 35mpg but that is all urban driving so expect over 40 on a run.

With the roof down the car is transformed, it looks good against any company especially when it's in Renault ink blue which has a pearlescent metallic finish.

Rear seat space depends entirely upon how tall the front seat occupants are although having said that I'm 6' 4" and can fit my 5yr old behind me but not my 8yr old so the car will only last me another couple of years!

The rear window being plastic is absolutely useless on summer mornings as it has dew on the outside (no wiper) and on winter mornings is fogged up. There is a rear window demister but it is a blower motor and not an integrated heating element so it is not really much cop.

The standard radio is a 4x15w jobbie with a 6 disc multichanger in the boot, replacement speakers are a doddle to fit as is a better spec head unit so it's not really a permanent problem.

All in all it is a good looking car, has a decent enough sized boot, can accomodate 4 people (Depending on size), is economical and makes you feel great with the sun in your face and the wind in your hair.
