Just read a few more reviews on here. No one seems to explain how much water is coming in through the roofs or where it is coming in. Main dealers, whatever the manufacturer, are notorious at seeing us all as a licence to print money. Especially those out of warranty. My wife has an Audi TT Roadster 3.2 and its roof started leaking, they told me it would cost £600-900. I researched on the net, it took me 15 minutes to fix a blocked drain hole and nothing else. Information is power but only when you pool knowledge. Surely some one must know what is the cause of this re-occurring problem! If you do then you need to post it on here it will help all these other drivers. My roof has never leaked. I sometimes after very heavy rain get a couple of drops on my lap after opening and then closing the door but then ALL roadsters /cabriolets do this, I have had many over the years.

I have a 2001 renault megane privilege + soft top.I absolutely love it. No leaks even in torential rain. No problems recommending it. Very responsive and she looks a stunner. Always turns heads and gives this 40+ women the satisfaction of seeing boy racers look the other way!

HI EVERYONE! Unlike other reviewers -- I have had no problems with my cabrio. It is a constant joy to drive and still a head turner.

Nightmare of a car, wanted a Renault Megane Cabriolet 2.0 for ages but it has spent more time in and out the garage to fix the leaking roof than I have driving it. And you cant park on a hill when it's raining, I mean what's that all about?

I purchased a Renault Megane Coupe Cabriolet in January 2008. Since then the roof hasn't stopped leaking.

Hope to get problems sorted asap. Starter button with clutch operation failed 3 times eventually had to have wire extended on clutch to stop this problem.Door seals on both doors leak-heavy rain, light rain it doesnt matter. Had diagnostics with Renault garage who confirmed that this is a common problem with this model. So driver and passenger get wet at same time. Now passed to Renault UK to resolve.

Bought a Renault convertible in July 2007 - it's now back in for the third time with a roof leak. Is there a way I can sell it back to the dealer having bought it from new? Any advice much appreciated. Nice car but not worth it.

Told by an engineer that if the Renault Megane is parked on a slope, hill or incline will get water ingress (leaking) what a joke!
Dont buy one, you've been warned!

Part ex-d my much loved MGF for a beautiful black 53 plate Renault Megane 2.0 VVT. Love it. Good visibility, extremely Comfortable. All the extras. An absolute pleasure to drive. Power hood is quiet and efficient. Plenty of boot space. My husband is 6 feet tall and he can sit comfortably on the rear seat much to our daughter's delight. Delighted with vehicle.
Will take a car not yet in production to consider parting with this beaut. Brilliant family convertible.

I find that the car suits its purpose very well as a semi sport convertible, very comfortable and positive drive, fantastic with the roof down, a cute little car with a lot of space for its size.

A beautiful car with great performance and good value for money but why can they not cure the roof leak. All passengers get wet on rainy days as the Renault Megane Cabriolet roof leaks and 12 visits to dealer have not solved. It ruins an otherwise great car.

Renault Megane Cabriolet 2.0 16v VVT Privilege+ Sports Car Review
This is a 2002 car and was among the last of the 'old' shape Meganes. Being the top of the range it has all the toys, Full leather interior, All 4 electric windows, Air Conditioning, Front Fogs, 16" alloys, Electric roof.

It rides well and corners like a 206 GTi (Which is very good on twisty roads). There were a few rattles from various pieces of interior trim but these do not detract from the driving experience.
