YORCAR - FARO AIRPORT

We had asked for a VW Polo and got a Seat Ibiza but the car was in good condition. We had asked for a seat for my child who is 11 months and this was not of good standard and so I would recommend either taking your own or making a point of checking that YorCar have a seat you are happy with before you sign the forms at the airport.

My real concern with my experience with this company was that when I got a flat tyre they told me to go and get it fixed and gave me the address of a garage which was not a huge problem until I got to the garage and was told that to replace this low profile Bridgestone tyre it was going to cost 133.00 euros and this was not covered by the insurance that YorCar had given me so had to come out of my pocket.

On my next visit to Portugal I will pay that bit extra to deal with a company that have a comprehensive cover and has an office in the UK.

The Yor Car price offered is very low, compared to bigger companies. Though a service - well, there ain't no service.
Booked a car via internet. Met an agent in the airport - he didn't even bother to talk, not mentioning greeting.
Signed the papers got the car - Matiz with 30,000 km, quite poor condition.
Didn't fall apart, though.

Overall - for 140 euro for 7 days I got what I looked for. If you are looking for a bargain - check it out. But if service and reliability are important for you - ...

We recieved a quotation from Yor Car for a two week hire of a class C vehicle to be picked up from Faro Airport. The booking was confirmed by email about a week before departure. When we arrived we were told that the booking was cancelled. I produced a copy of the email and was told that I must hve failed to read the cancellation email which was sent at a later date. There was no apology or attempt to find an alternative supplier. The company is appalling!

Appalling! Booked group B car in April for a five day visit to the Algarve in July. Arrived at Faro to be met by grim faced agent who advised that there was no car available. They had cancelled by e-mail. Not to my e-mail address they hadn't. So what do I do, I enquired. Don't know! Do you care? No, not really. What fantastic customer service! Pay the extra and use an international company instead of Yor Car. Be warned!

Responsive service, offer loyalty free weeks after 10 week rentals, easy to pick up and drop off car.

Yor Car contact always available, extensions easy to arrange, very flexible easy service.

YorCar e-mailed me 2 days before traveling informing me that the minibus I booked 5 months previously in March was now not available. They could however let me have two C class cars in place of the minibus.I am very annoyed as I had to pay over 700 euros for a minibus / van for a rental period of only five days due to the lack of vehicles available when I arrived.After reading other reviews I can see they have done this before on the same vehicle type. I found that the service provided by the yorcar company was excellent and I will use them again when I come to Portugal. I will also not hesitate in recommending yorcar to others.

We have rented a car at Yor Car hire 6 times now and we always got the car we asked for.
Once we had an accident (not our fault) and Yor arranged a new car for us the next day (the accident was in the evening). We have booked our car for July with Yor again. We got our car at Faro airport 5 times and once at Lisboa airport.

Yor Car took my booking for a minibus weeks before the trip, then just three days before we were due to travel they informed us that did not have one!

After numerous calls (on my bill) they agreed to supply one D and one C car. When we arrived at the airport they provided two C cars and the person we had dealt with did not even have the courage to turn up.

I would strongly advise any one not to book with this company as it appears that you cannot believe them.
