Foxtons Lettings never return your deposit back... there are so many hidden charges that they dont tell you about till after you have moved in! its ridiculous their charges.
I was willing to pay anything they charged becasue i thought obviously their service would be 1st class but thei service is no where near worth what you have to pay them.
I would never use them again!

Foxtons Lettings charged us £467 just as an admin fee, we were not told about this until we had put an offer on the flat.
According to them they cleaned the property professionally. It was filthy, dust all over the place, limescale in the bathroom... awful.
When we left, we hired a professional cleaner to clean the flat as per our contract. Foxtons kept £160 for another cleaning saying it wasn't clean enough and without warning.
I will never rent/buy through them.

We found a flat in the worst condition. They sent "professional cleaners" but after their cleaning the sofas were stained, the carpet as well, there is a humidity problem where you have to keep the dehumidifier turned on the whole day (they told us about this after we signed the contract), the oven door was broken, as well as the bath rail, the door lock (it was actually loose), the TV was broken, the sofas are without the cushion, the chairs are loose, and now a curtain rail is coming out. Defi ...

Looking for a flat in London its hard not to use them. However, they overprice rents and then they have all these other charges that are well above the standard level. Also the push to manage the property to max even more fees to themselves.

We were looking to rent a flat in London and found that Foxton's had a good choice of available properties. Ever since we gave them our number, we have been subject to 4 or 5 phone calls a day, from different agents, asking for the same information. We finally took up a flat through another agent, and let Foxton know that we wanted to be taken off their list. Even after that, we kept getting calls from them for the next couple of days, always from a different agent, telling us they found a prope ...

I drove 45 miles to have a meeting with a Foxton's representative. I was made to wait for half an hour for our appointment. I followed the Rep to the first flat, I was told in no uncertain terms that my car would be safe parked on the street, he also mentioned that there was off street parking for the property that we could have parked in but that it was a pain to get the keys. We viewed the property and on our return we received a £50 parking Ticket.

I complained several times and afte ...

    We rent from them.

They do not return phone calls; do not fix problems with the property and they charge a rental admin fee double/triple the standard. Getting anything dealt with takes about three months of emails and phone calls. We wrote a letter of complaint to Foxtons Lettings which went unanswered. Unbelievable!

In the future I would discard any properties managed by Foxtons from my rental property searches.

The valuer from Foxtons Lettings turned up promptly to rent my property, and within a few days of my phone call. I was told the property could be let within 2 - 3 weeks and someone would be round within a couple of days to make the floorplan. As soon as I signed the contract, for a much higher rent than other agents, that was the last I heard from them.

After three weeks of me leaving voicemail messages and emails, and conversations with employees, I eventually had a phone call that someone ...

I was called by a staff member, desperate for properties in my area. When they told me their commision rate (11% + VAT) I said no way. He then said as they were in dire need they would see I acheive my price and they get their cut on top.

When the sales person turned up, she said I would have to pay 16% commission + VAT as the type of tenants they get only want managed flats. That would also mean I have to give them £500 if I remember correctly as a float to cover for repairs. Also she ...
