Good Points: It's edible. Even if it is unhealthy.

    Bad Points: Everything.

General comments: Okay... IAMS is made by Proctor and Gamble.

When I was younger, I saw the adverts for IAMS and really wanted to get this 'good' food for my cats.
I did, but only a couple of times, as it was quite expensive. I remember, every night after I fed my cats IAMS, they were pouncing on everything, attacking eachother, just, going wild.
On the nights I did not feed them IAMS, they fell asleep on my lap, and were very relaxed.
My cousin had a kitten which she fed IAMS. That cat was crazy. I mean, seriously crazy. I did NOT stop moving. It scratched everyone, you couldn't move without it attacking you. I got her to change the cat onto Burns, and the next week when I saw the cat, it was actually chilled out. You could pet it without being clawed to ribbons.

. They have lots of money to advertise because they spend hardly any money on good ingredients. They use the cheapest rubbish they can find.
If you notice, GOOD brands that you can buy in pet shops (NOT supermarkets, never buy a pet food from supermarkets either), are not advertised on TV.That's because they use all of their money on good, healthy products for their food.
    ALWAYS check the label, people!

Let's be clear - I have a certain ambivalence towards Murphy - he was a favourite but when you have kids it all changes - this is the reason I want to have minimal fuss when looking after him. This is where Iams comes in - I think I fell for the marketing on this one but have subsequently learnt not to care. It is a great product - Murphy fussed over all sorts of other foods before we bought Iams - I love the fact it is dry and doesn't smell. He has been happy with the same flavour for the last ...

Although it is good food, my cat Naughty is a slow eater, and she tends to eat a little then goes out to play, then comes for some more. But after a while the remainder of the food tends to dry up, which is a problem that I only get from this brand, and it's overpriced. Naughty actually prefers cat food from Aldi.

Iams Original is a fine product 4 maybe 1-2 cats unless they're very different- especially when 1 is a kitten, a small girl and a large underwieght maine coon- but they seem healthy enough.
