Have been with f2s for quite a while an initially it was excellent. Nowadays I almost either my emails or my internet not to be working because there are problems for me so regularly.
For the last few days the internet has been very intermittent (perhaps half hour online at most) and today I seem to have internet but no email. Service status on their corporate sitre states everything working OK.
Well it isn't!!!!

Like many others on this site, I had been an advocate of Freedom2Surf for quite some time. Their domain registration service was quick and cost effective, and their automatic renewal service very effective. Email was fairly priced and easy to set up. However for the last year the quality of the web mail service for all of my websites mail accounts is nothing short of diabolical. Their "report bugs" service laughably goes straight to their corporate website rather than any form of assistance, an ...- Read Guest's review (143 words)

Since Freedom2Surf has become part of TalkTalk the email service has gone down hill rapidly. I have no email access this morning and have had emails up to 3 days late. Attempted to contact tech support can't get through, been in a queue most of the morning.- Read Guest's review (47 words)

Personally I have had Freedom2Surf for 3 years and regulary check my package against other providers. I get an up to 8mb service with an up to 832k upload, uncapped, 20 pop email boxes accessible via webmail, 200mb commercial webspace, static ip uk based for £16 per month. No one even comes close to that on my exchange. Sure I get evening slowdown, but hey 2 years ago you where lucky if 1 in 10 people where on broadband, but now it's the other way round and after all there is only so much ...- Read Guest's review (105 words)

The service that f2s provide is an absolute joke. We often experience delays in emails and the response time for technical support is disgusting. We have a problem with emails at least 2-3 times a month. If anyone is looking for an isp or web/email host please look elsewhere or you will be thoroughly disappointed. Also the level of junk mail we receive is very high, over the weekend i receive on average about 40 junk emails.
I would not recommend f2s at all. Stay away- Read Guest's review (88 words)

been with Freedom2Surf for 5-6 years and mostly well served during this period. I have mixed thoughts on f2s now. I came on here looking for information on whether I could keep my email address when I move to a new provider.
I felt that I was paying over the odds for the package, was not getting the same customer service level that i used to get, and was never informed when a cheaper deal was available. However reading other providers forums, it appears there are multiple issues with almost all ...- Read Guest's review (206 words)

Freedom2Surf used to be a really good service, but in the last 3 months has become virtually unuseable. It constantly drops out, and 'customer service' is an incorrect use of the word 'service'. I don't know if it's Talk Talk taking over and frankly I don't care. The best they could come up with was 'try another router'....yeah right; I'm going to buy another router to find out what I already know...thre service has degraded unbelievably.
I am looking for a new service provider.- Read Guest's review (86 words)

I joined f2s in 2002 when they were rated as one of the best ISPs in the UK. I have now left because the service has deteriorated rapidly since the takeover by TalkTalk. There are three major issues which made me leave f2s, as follows:
* As soon as they were taken over my line kept dropping out if it wasn't used for two hours. I had to reboot the router whenever I wanted to use the service. I checked data on my local exchange and TalkTalk was identified as having capacity issues.
* Their mail s ...- Read coyote63's review (199 words)

I finally found a decent service provider after nearly ending up in court with carphone warehouse (albeit talktalk and now tiscali who now own freedom2surf).
Now since the takeover the bandwidth is appaling. I vowed never to use carephone warehouse again after my past experience and this just proves it. Every service they touch is useless if you want to do anything more than email. I will now be moving to another provider
My advice is avoid any carephone warehouse, tiscali, talktalk and now f2 ...- Read Guest's review (136 words)

I was a happy Freedom2Surf customer for four years but the service had gradually slowed over the past 12 months. After the move to the Tiscali DNS servers in Jan 09 service has slowed to a crawl. As I'm paying for an (up to) 8Meg service, I feel I should receive more than 1meg. I have repeatedly tested the service at differnet times of day over the last month - it NEVER gets above 1meg.Phoned to get my MAC code yesterday and was fobbed off with a load of bull about the line and told to phone tec ...- Read parkaboy's review (179 words)

Good ISP a few years back, got progressively worse on takeovers. My gripe is speed, an acceptable 2.7 - 3 megs in 2008 but down to 0.4 - 0.5 over past 5 months. I have had enough, Ive had no or late response from Freedom2Surf to technical enquiries. The service and price seems to have not moved with the market. looking for a non cable alternative.- Read Guest's review (61 words)

Freedom2Surf used to be good, until that company Tiscali took them over.
My download speeds dropped from 6 meg to 750k at times with no explanation from them except that my equipment must be faulty and needs to be checked (standard line to get every customer I guess)
I then moved over from Freedom2Surf to asdl24 where my line speed has never dropped below 4 meg on a bad day and up to 7.5meg on a good day with no changing of any equipment!
I feel Freedom2Surf service has slowly got worse and ...- Read gisepy's review (154 words)

Have tried to use the Freedom2Surf problem logging service, after feeling I was waiting ages on Tech support helpline. When I received no response after a full week (apart from automated acknowledgement), I emailed a complaint to sales department. I received an automated acknowledgement, which was added to my original logged technical query, and still I received no response to my original problem, nor answer to my complaint about poor service... what can I do, except give up and move on to a - h ...- Read RHol's review (138 words)

I have been with this ISP for 4 - 5 years. As some of the other reviewers have said, this was once a very good ISP, with (for me) a 100% reliability record over significant periods of time. More recently there has been major problems, particularly with the email platform, although it is suggested on the website that these should now be fixed after migration to a new service. It's a shame that the service has been allowed to degrade this far without proactive action. I also find the reporting on p ...- Read Guest's review (169 words)

I've been with Freedom2Surf for almost 10 years. Up until the last year they've been pretty good and reliable - hardly any issues with their service and if there was a problem their customer support was great. Not any more. Over the last 12 months their email service has deteriorated significantly and customer support is poor. It is near impossible to contact them via phone (very long - and expensive - wait), email (they don't list an address) or their online forms (don't actually work properly ...- Read Guest's review (139 words)

Used to be a great ISP, but since the 'buy-out', service has become so bad that I will be changing as soon as my contract expires. Perhaps I should have seen what was coming when the 1-month rolling contracts were abolished, as it's only ISPs who keep their customers are happy & give them no reason to leave who can afford to offer these short contracts. Mail server outages are so frequent (& lengthy), that it's impossible to feel confident about receiving/ sending mail any more - it's a poor s ...- Read Guest's review (115 words)

www.freedom2surf.net were very good when we began with the some years ago, but no good points nowadays. Even though we will have to go to considerable trouble changing all our e-mail addresses we are on the brink of changing supplier. We have suffered frequent outages of e-mail over the past year, which have lasted for up to a day. Over the New Year period the server was down twice for almost a day each time.- Read Guest's review (78 words)

I originally started with f2s many years ago when it was a small company with handfull of staff. I signed several of my clients up to F2s and each of them has moved away from F2S because of connection reliablility problems. Last year I moved from the unlimitted 512 connection to a faster connection and have now fallen into the same problems.
Recently I was without an internet connection for a week. The support I recieved was useless. It appears the support staff rely on the status pages on ...- Read Gerard H's review (384 words)
