Good Points: The product itself is great, CP12, boiler service and insurance all rolled into one package that is quite good value. The bad points outweigh the good.
Bad Points: Simply unable to administer the policy properly. Refused to contact the managing agents on report of a claim, tried to contact the tenant, cancelled the policy on numerous occasions without informing me and were generally heavy handed. Avoid this like the plague if you don't want lots of hassle.
General comments: Homecall+ administration is awful and lets down what should be a good product.
As a landlord who lives a long way from my property emergency insurance is essential. Homecall+ could have had my business on a plate if only they knew how to run a business and deal with customers.
Such a shame.

To be honest, my tenants Problems in the last 11 months have all been plumbing related. The contractor used is absolutely hopeless. and its not that i havent told the HomeCall+ Home Emergency Insurance office a few times, The tenant takes time off from work and the contractor fails to turn i up when promised. Tenant loses a days pay, Homecall gets unhappy landlord and contractor not bothered because he still has plenty of work anyway. Well, my tenant pays me on time, looks after the property a ...- Read itneedstobesaid's review (181 words)

I have only just recently taken out some cover with HomeCall, the product is called "Lightning".
I did not have any form of cover already in place and with the great british summer coming to an end (that's if we have had one at all) I turned on my heating, to my shock the pilot light would not light, I called Homecall and they arranged for a gas man to attend, he called me in 15 mins and attended an hour later, he fixed the problem and also sorted out some other issues.
This company was efficent ...- Read adelerain's review (133 words)

After a HomeCall+ Home Emergency Insurance engineer serviced the boiler, I had to get a local engineer in to sort a problem. He found that the combustion chamber in the combi boiler had now been cleaned out. I contacted Homecall by phone and raised this with them as the inadequate service had caused the problem. I was told to send in the invoice and I would be reimbursed. Having done this I received a letter refusing to reimburse '... at no point did we advise you that we would reimburse you ...- Read ardfernbob's review (176 words and 1 comment)

I would recommend HomeCall+ Home Emergency Insurance for the type of cover for any landlord or letting agent as it saves an awful lot of fuss trying to find a tradesman in the middle of the night.- Read johnnyjack's review (57 words)

I have used Homecall+ Home Emergency Insurance on my rented properties for 2 years now. I find the service great for my tenants, as I have a full time job and do not want the hassle of calls in the middle of the night.
My tenants have claimed in the past, and they have commented on the service and think I am a great landlord to boot.
I would recommend them to any landlord. I am very happy with the service to date.- Read choonz's review (96 words and 1 comment)
