I have just discovered One Call after usually keeping with the same insurance broker for convenience and ease. I spoke with operator na6 who went into so much detail of the policy options and the savings to me made. The call was lengthy and it is impossible to remember everything being explained to you. I felt confident after the discussion that I had purchased the best matched policy for my needs

“Looks Phony To Me”

“Home365 home emergency service ( Previously HomeCall )”

Following the failure of HomeCall , who ceased trading shortly after I took out the emergency cover on four properties, I was contacted by a new sales team who said they were "Home365" and had obtained my details from the previous company. However, a complete assurance was given they had absolutely no connection with HomeCall and Home365 would deliver all their sales promises including "peace of mind and emergency situations resolved within a few hours". Naturally I did not want to become involved with another unreliable home emergency company and I did not take up the Home365 offer of another contract with them. Unfortunately, after numerous sales calls and repeated assurances of the Home365 total efficiency, I took out new home emergency policies for four properties. The subsequent after sales service was a complete shambles, far from efficient, with no call centre staff to speak to, only an answerphone service. The voice messages had no response so it was necessary to leave several more messages which again had no response. This went on for literally weeks and it appeared the company tactics were to ignore calls long enough to force the customer to pay another contractor to attend the site and restore the facilities for the residents. The Home365 policies also included an annual boiler inspection and the statutory landlords gas safety report. Despite repeated reminders, everything was delayed by Home365 until the existing safety reports had expired, forcing the customer to organise another engineer to carry out the inspection, at very short and considerable additional cost. Every time Home365 blamed the engineer for the failure. Do not consider taking out an emergency breakdown policy with Home365 and steer well clear of any other company which may emerge up from the same source.

“Avoid this company”

I signed 5 properties up to this company, and the took my money on the day that I signed up with them. I contacted them 2 months later as my landlords Gas Safety Inspections had still not been completed, it took me 3 weeks of leaving voicemails everyday to get a call back. When I eventually got a call back it was from an, I was confused and they explained to me that they had been passed my details from Home365 to arrange my gas safety's. Well it was nice to know that after all the voicemail's home365 finally did something about it. However it would have been nice for one of them to call me and say that they would be getting an engineer to contact me. The boiler failed at one of my properties and I called home365 expecting to have to leave a voicemail, and guess what, this was the case. However at least on this occasion Home365 called me back to advise they were going to get an engineer to call me to see if there was something that could be done over the phone. Confused again as i though they would send the engineer out, but waited for the call. nearly 3 hours later, the engineer called and advised they had just received a job and been asked to send an engineer out, when i said i was waiting for someone to call to speak about the problem, they explained that they had advised home365 they would not do this, but would need to come out. The engineer arrived within 45 mins and advised that the heat exchanger would need to be replaced. Within 10 mins of them leaving the engineers office call and advised me that they needed the part and it would take 2-3 days to arrive, provided the insurance company authorized the works, they confirmed to me that the prices had been given. The following day I contacted the engineer and they advised they had still not heard from the insurance company. I explained I would ring and chase. I spent all day chasing the insurance company and got no answer and no return call from my voicemail's. I chased again the following day and spoke to a kelly who advised that the price's had not been provided yet, so I spoke again with the engineer who gave me the time and date the email was sent with prices. I called back the insurance company and spoke with someone else who told me they had the prices and they were still making a decision, they could explain why this has taken 3 days, so I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I am the manager, but still couldn't get an answer, so gave up and put the phone down. Five minutes later the engineer called and advised he had been given the go ahead and would be ordering the parts, and that this would take up to 3 days to arrive. Leaving me with out heating for 1 week because of how slow the insurance company were. The engineer attended 3 days later and fixed the problem, I can not fault the engineer they were very help full and informative, keep me as updated as they could. I believe the delays have been with the insurance company never answering there phone and not dealing with the claims. As it is I am currently trying to leave them and move to a new insurance company, however they seam very reluctant to refund me the remainder of my cover. I think a letter to the FSA may be in order.

“Very Bad Service”

I have a policy with these people and when ever your ring you always get an answer phone no matter what time of day you call and you arte lucky if you get a call back. If they do call back and you miss the call you have to go all through leaving a message and wondering if you will call back. there policy is not worth the paper it written on. the engineers themself you can not fault and once they have the job they keep you updated all the way, its just getting the first call sorted that seems to be the problem. They used to be Home Call + that went down and after looking at how bad there reviews are on line about them before it looks like the new company is the same.

“DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !”

HomeCall+ Home Emergency Insurance now re-branding as home365 - http://www.myhome365.co.uk Took out a batch of policies with them as a prudent landlord - worst ever service - avoided any possible claim or send any call out if possible. Trying to compare themselves with British Gas / Homeserve If you have any emergency - this is not the company to rely on !

What sort of claims were they rejecting? I have claimed 8 times on my policy within the past 6 months and only 1 has been rejected which was quite clearly excluded in the Ts and Cs but I tried my luck anyway. I haven't had any problems to date.

“Groupon deal”

I would echo everything people have said - total waste of time, but one phone call to Groupon got me a refund from a rather resigned call centre chap who was not in the least bit surprised. Forget this rubbish deal, get your money back.

Totally agree, the Groupon is scamn, I had a booking bit they never turned up and when I asked why I was told I was being abusive and rude. Whihc I wasn't. So they said they cancelled my job abd would send a refund eial for me to claim fomr Groupn. Fact is Groupon don't refund as the gas compnay has been paid and so it is a totla scam. DO NOT USE GROUPON

“don't waste your time”

I purchased a boiler service through Groupon. Orginally tried to book via email as reccommended, but had no response. I eventually managed to book via telephone, but was told that I was going to have to wait a month until they were in my area. Was advised they would contact me the day before to inform me of the approximate time of the appointment. The day before the appointment they text to cancel - with no explanation. I have tried several times to call to rearrange with no answer and have been held on hold for over 20 minutes. They do not respond to voicemails either. I have just contacted Groupon and they have issued a full refund without any questions asked. Don't waste your time if you have one of these Groupons, get a refund.

“Avoid - Con artists”

Bought a boiler service through Groupon - it took 3 months of e-mailing and phone calls to arrange a date for the boiler service, and then having sat and waited in all day the engineer didn't show up. Trying to arrange a refund, but they don't answer phone calls or respond to e-mails so I'm not holding out much hope.

I have also had problems using my Groupon voucher. I emailed homecallplus and haven't had a reply in two months. I phoned the number on the voucher. They said they had nothing to do with homecall plus and suggested I rang Groupon for a refund. Groupon gave me a website address (surveymonkey) to book appointment. I did this and homecallplus ssaid they would contact me within 10 days. They didn't. I booked it again and waited another 10 days. Guess what...........? Ive left messages on another number groupon gave me and guess what...........? Groupon are now in process of refunding my money.

“It's a con”

Not even worth 1 star i bought the Groupon deal ages ago. Used the form to email my booking- no response from homecall plus. Read some really bad reviews so I emailed a letter of complaint. Someone rang back within2 hours of me emailing to say someone will be in touch to bookan appt! Very strange, don't know why she couldn't just take my booking then. I sent another booking a week later, still nothing. I have left it until in case they have just been greedy and accepted too many groupon deals & can't keep up ( which many companies seem to be doing). I have now been credited by groupon who had absolutely no qualms refunding me within hours of me asking. Groupon excellent, home call plus are a con

“KGB Deal Boiler Service”

This company are also selling the £39 boiler service with KGB deals as well, when we called the person answering the phone said that if this was a groupon deal it was unlikely to be honoured, but would get someone to call back.. no call back was received, called again a week later to get an answer phone saying leave a message, but couldn't as cuts out. Contacted KBG and they refunded my money and apologised. Not their fault, looks like this company is just trying to rip people off. Had a lucky escape

Have no intention of every fulfilling the contract and when you ask for a refund for a prepaid service they pass the buck and refuse to offer. A blatent scam and not sure this company is actually real.

“Groupon offer for boiler service”

In line with other reviews, this has been a dreadful offer - no fault of groupon, I should add, but home call plus. It took ages to finally get an appointment, well over the recommended days that they should have come back. When I finally got a day fixed, they could only give a slot between 0800 and 1800 (!), but David Needham, the manager, said he would ask the engineer to call me with a more specific time. No-one called and no-one turned up on the day. Luckily I don't work Mondays, the day of the appointment, but it was still incredibly annoying. I have subsequently cancelled the offer and groupon have - again, brilliantly - credited me for the £39 for future offers. I have emailed David Needham twice, and surprise surprise there has been nothing forthcoming. I would never recommend this company nor use any of its services.

“Do not use - Groupon voucher not for use!”

I paid for a groupon voucher for Homecare Plus for a boiler service and clean - £39, good value I thought. Never had any problems with groupon before, every other deal booked in and used no difficulties. With this one, had to continuously call to try and book an appointment. Was told someone would call me back again and again. Someone phoned me back after about a month of call - couldnt fit me in when THEY wanted and asked if I could call back with my reference number (I was in work when they phoned) - tried and again had to leave a message to get back to me, noone did! Another month of trying again, arranged for an engineer to come out, booked day, waited in all of the day and evening - NOONE ARRIVED. Phoned to check where person was, said they leave a message. Noone has got back to me to apologise, rearrange, nothing. Contacted Groupon as I have no idea who to complain to. They have refunded my money saying this deal does not exist now. Still want to complain about this company and still need my boiler servicing! DO NOT BOOK WITH HOMECARE PLUS! Time wasters!

Exactly the same thing has happened with myself. Waste of time this company. Let me down twice now. Would highly advise anyone not to purchase there groupon voucher, or have any dealings with this organisation. What an awful company to deal with.

Wish I had read the reviews before I booked via Groupon for the £149 powerflush. Homecare cancelled one appointment 40 minutes beforehand and didn't bother to turn up or contact me for the re-arranged appointment. Also, they are impossible to contact on any of the numbers- the answerphones are ful; other complaints I assume. Groupon are refunding me.

I have also had problems and after several calls and a promise by customer services that the engineer was due to come out on 18TH OCTOBER, the engineer did not turn up and I wasted a day waiting in - absolutely appaling unacceptable customer SERVICES!!!!!!!!! bought a groupon voucher £39, for boiler service with home call+.made several phone calls to book the service only to be told somebody would call me back which they never did. on my last call somebody answered and said I had the wrong number but she would give me the number for home call????? (this is the number I had been using all along??) rang the number the lady had given me only to be forwarded to a answer phone were you couldnt even leave a message! In a nut shell A JOKE OF A COMPANY. Did manage to get a refund off groupon luckily!!

“WORST COMPANY EVER! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!”

This is the worst company ever! Those of you complaining that you called them, and waited in but in the in the end no one came out -- TRUST ME YOU HAD A VERY LUCKY ESCAPE! I used groupon and managed to get an engineer out after one cancellation. They came out "performed a service" if you could call it that. THE BOILER STOPS WORKING the moment they leave. What happens next is the worst customer service I have ever experienced PERIOD. They dont return calls and this so called David Needham is an ASS as he doesn't know how to handle customer complaints. They end up blaming you and wont acknowledge their mistakes! Furthermore you have to pay them again to come out!! Fortunately I complained to Groupon and got a refund but I still had to get a proper engineer from a proper company in to fix the mess they created. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY. ONCE THEY BREAK YOUR BOILER THEY ASK FOR MORE MONEY TO SEND SOMEONE OUT TO "FIX" IT. BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS AND COWBOYS. Wish I never come across them and saw this website first! Even one star is too much for them.

i obviously had a lucky escape then. i tried constantly to book the service but everytime sum1 said sum1 will call you back. just got a full refund off groupon. poor poor company. just makes you wonder how many other people have been ripped off!!!

I am a qualified boiler service engineer (no connection to this company or offer) and my observation of issues raised here are thus,yes from a customers point of view it's important to save money and the "service" offered here represents a saving of up to £40 depending on the type of boiler.
Probably better to employ a local engineer who has a reputation to uphold so should provide you with value for money. If that means paying a bit more to arrive at the correct result then that is my definition of value for money.Also in the event of any problems the local engineer is usually more accessible and willing to put things right.

It seems that companies that sign up with groupon are taken by surprise at the response rate and just are unable to cope with the demand, maybe groupon should give cmpanies more advice on how to pitch their offers to achieve a moderate response if that is the level at which they can fulfil the offer and neither party should get too greedy, I am thinking that maybe the fee that groupon charges is geared to the response rate on the offer so I guess they will just continue to be greedy until demand drops away after their reputation is in tatters.
