“Anger? Too mild for paid unreliability of Supanet mail!”

Without a doubt, the foundation of the most frustrating period in my life is down to Supanet web-mail. In an age of e-communication we rely on our web and email service as we did with pens to communicate. Supanet webmail is so un-reliable that the helpline default message states there is a problem with the email service, even when it's (rarely) working! “supanet fibre is great + better online gaming pings”

Hi, got an email flyer from supanet to upgrade to supanet fibre using bt network with good deal at £14.99 and cheap line rental for 6 months. Had to wait a few weeks for installation but now you can see the difference, great for streaming tv shows and downloading xbox content. i am also getting better pings for my cod / titanfall lan games which means more kills and a better leader board ranking!! Just moved into a new building in london for my new golfshop and i needed a new bt line so google cheap bt line and came across ad for supanet. After 20 minutes of banter between me and shaz the salesperson i managed to get him to install a new bt phone line if i took calls and broadband + mobile minutes package. Was looking on google for a new internet deal and ended up calling supanet by just searching on my mobile but it ended well, got a good deal on line rental 13.49 and 6 months broadband 1.99 with a reasonable download limit, happy so far even got caller display and free uk calls, the advises are calm and have a clear yorkshire style voice which helps when getting the internet on. Was on supanet 8mb for ages and finally fibre is in my glasgow area, been on fibre for over a month and its well worth the extra money the uk tech team were excellent is showing me how to use my new n router and happy with speeds when streaming films and stuff... if you have supeanet and its slow then upgrade to fiber as i thinks it is on bt fiber network lines but worth the extra few quid for good connection. I have been with this company only since November 2013. I had no Internet for 6 week's due to technical issues. When they couldn't fob me off with that any longer they decided there wasn't a technical problem any longer and would turn it back on in 7 days. 14 days later I finally got it switched back on. I've been with supanet since 1998, until 2 years ago the service was adequate, I only use e-mail/webmail, I was paying 99p/month, they put that up to £1.99, other mail services being free. I am surprised to see such negative reviews for Supanet. I have been with them for over a year and so far not faced any major problem. There customer service is not the best but my billing problem was sorted out quite quickly. Maybe it depends on which customer care agent takes your call and I was lucky. As for their internet, the speed does goes down at peak times but so does for nearly every other company. It's still better than my previous provider. So far so good… Read Full Review

“Can't wait till the contract ends...”

I've been with Supanet for years. And I mean a long long time. I was upgraded to their fibre optic service paying for up to 40mb download speeds. I've had at times up to 20mb but normally get 10mb's. Support have been quite good to be fair to them, although their was nothing they could do to increase the speed. I can live with that. The issue I have is the lack of service. I'm not specifically commenting on this review, but on every bad review on here. They are all accurate; Supanet lie continually whilst being uncontactable, unbelievably rude. I've been through all the same things, including the falsification, overcharging and downright rudeness. My point, though, is where are the regulatory bodies? OFCOM is a waste of space, the Ombudsman says Supanet has to run its business, ISPA can't help because Supanet aren't a member, and Citizens Advice can't suggest any more action. The industry bodies should hang their heads in shame in allowing this activity to continue. Somebody should read all these reviews and TAKE EFFECTIVE LEGAL ACTION against them. Us minions can't do it because we just get pushed around and bullied. OFCOM, OMBUDSMAN, ISPA...YOU NEED TO TACkLE THIS, PEOPLE ARE BEING RIPPED OFF. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! DONT HIDE BEHIND PLATITUDES.

Absolutely totally agree with your comments on Ofcom etc.....I expressed my opinion earlier above before seeing this.....but you have done it much better.
It makes my blood bool that these over funded bodies are so spineless.

When your contract ends and you change ISPs,make sure you cancel your direct debit. I just left Supanet,last month and have just discovered,they're still billing me. Dreading the polava, I'll probably have to go through,to get my money back.

My charges started to go up. Then had hassle in not able to use the phone for 6 weeks. When I went to cancel, I was told I had taken a new contract out. Which I had not! As a new contract had been made up with out my say so! Scare me with huge amounts of money to cancel. Lucky I had all my paperwork. Sent copies of old contracts. About 2 years ago they over charged our broadband rental, and said it was an "Antivirus" charge.
