One word sums them up in all regards - rubbish! I emplore you not to have any dealings with them in any way shape of form.
BTW rubbish wasn't the word I wanted to use but the moderator thought I shouldn't use something that sounds like trap

Supanet are a completely rubbish Internet Service Provider. I bought an Xbox 360 recently (and online, which all costs A LOT, in the long run) only to find that the online didn't work. I had also recently purchased a new top of the range router (so that's definitely not the problem). Supanet can go offline randomly every few days, some times it will not work for a whole day. I really, really would not recommend buying from them, they provide a really horrible service and there are much better Br ...

I was with Supanet for 6 years..and now finally rid of them. I upgraded my service to 'unlimited download,8 mbps, and all the other stuff for 14.99 p/m.. when they were doing the upgrade i was actually off line for 1 month, So called customer services had not a clue and had no experience what so ever. Supanet were blaming BT and vice versa, though in that month i ran up a phone bill of around £150 calling them on the premium rate number..+ i still paid for that month. Eventually spoke with ...

I've been with Supanet for several years and have had very few problems.I pay for 8mb but normaly manage 7.5. The only problem was they wanted to up my monthly payments from 11.99 to 17.99. After complaing they offered to let me have it for 15.99 which is not bad for a no limits package.

Originally, I signed up with Supanet as a dial-up customer. As expected, it was a slow service - for me that was fine, as I only used it for the basics. In 2007 I received a call from one of their sales team. He informed me that the dial-up service was being phased out and I was being moved on to the broadband service at no extra cost (11.99) He explained that although the contracts were 18 months long I would only have to serve a year as I was already into a six month contract for dial up, ...

At last I've managed to unshackle myself from Supanet!!!! Tried to con me into the £39.99 cancellation fee and £10 or the return of the modem, but I sent a recorded delivery reply stating that their introduction of a 30GB cap to an unlimited service broke the agreement that I signed up to, and that the modem was advertised as free (and still is!) despite the contradictory statement in the terms and conditions, so I wouldn't be returning that either. Just had a reply stating that ...

Supanet have been OK in general but communications is what today's world is all about. I get the feeling that they don't really want to be bothered with customers unless it's collecting monthly subscriptions from them.About to change over to the Post Office to see if their service is better.

My download was less than 1 GByte per month. A very low user. The letter sent didn't bother me too much. (At the time). I started to use BBC iPlayer and it was hopeless. The movies broke up waiting for the download to catch up.

Download the film was stopped by whoever, whatever - it would have taken over 700 hours to download.

    I can never contact anybody.

I too got an email a few months ago telling me that if i downloaded more than 30gb a speed limiter would be put in place so that browsing and email were all i could do. well damn me it just took me 4 minutes to load this page, msn , bebo and various other sites i use just tell me that they cant load the web page. i did not sign up to an unlimited deal just so that they can LIMIT me to 30gb per month. im just wondering if anybody with legal knowledge could tell me if i have grounds to cancel due ...

I signed up for unlimited download broadband at 2mb, there was no mention of a fair usage policy (they are still advertising without mentioning the fair usage policy). I have apparently exceeded the 3GB download limit for the month and so I have a speed limiter during peak which they consider to be 4pm - 2am. I admit I may have exceeded 30GB although I signed on for unlimited so there shouldn't be a limit and my downloading was done off peak anyway so I can't understand why they have done th ...

I am so olde-worlde I use Supanet DIAL-UP. Since a month ago, early August 2008, I have repeated difficulty getting connected ("error 718") , and have to make several attempts, though in the end it usually works. Supanet say they are aware of this problem--and not only for me but some other users--but can't or won't say when it will be fixed.

Looking for a list of alternative suppliers, my New Connection Wizard is always unable to connect to the list. I wonder why not. It says "server error"

Wouldn't recommend Supanet as an ISP & unlikely to continue with them once my contract is up.
Currently it looks as though supanet has expanded it's customer base.
Muddled administration e.g. sending out a letter about usage dated incorrectly.
Low speed & efficiency - often I cannot get into my hotmail account - usual messages about 'you may not be signed on to the Internet ', 'website may be having problems' etc. However, I then piggyback onto a neighbour's service (with another ISP) & hotmail ...

After no problems for 7 years i received many calls on an ex-directory number promising an update to supanet broadband at the same price great. What a nightmare after ending up with the modem being sent out i tried to install only to receive a letter the next day telling me not to do this until 11th June (a bit late) this was the 6th June due to this they then sent me between two 50p lines trying to get dial up back on after 5 Min's the problem according to the call centre 50p a minute line said ...

I had the 1 meg service, which was fine, then the 2 meg service which was about as fast as the 1 meg then I upgraded to the 8 meg service which is slower than dialup. So I am bound to a contract for another 12 months.

Had very poor connection speeds, only noticed since I got an xbox and started playing online. Speeds were anything from 200kbps to 500kbps, this was supposed to be an up to 8meg connection! BT confirmed that my line would support up to 4.5meg. Sometimes during the day the connection would be reasonable up to 3.3meg, but this is no good when you ' re at work! After hours on hold and lots of complaining they put me onto a different server dsl9 which worked fine for about three weeks. Then sure eno ...

Been with Supanet for about 4 years.
18 months ago my ping rates (internet speed) dropped right off during peak times. Took 12 months of endless tests, BT engineers, speed check results etc etc with no resolve until one day (12th March 2008) I was given a number to an English speaking tech support guy, who told that they were putting me onto ADSL 9 server - problem solved over night!!! Happy days!!!! ...........for 3 months - then it dropped off again over night to the same old incredibly slow s ...

I have been with Supanet since I got internet (quite a few years).
Initially it wasn't too bad, but recently I've been tearing my hair out trying to get a decent service. The e-mail system seems to be down more than it's up and the download speeds are so slow I often just give up. I recently spent quite a time (expensive) on their help line, quite a bit of the delay being the agent telling me he was having to wait as his system was slow!
I'm in the middle of a contract period so it seems I'm stu ...
