“Awful experience”

I was bought a handbag for christmas by my husband and after 2 months the dog and all of the zips had fallen off of the bag. The magnetic studs that held the side pockets closed were also coming loose. I sent it back to radley to get repaired. After 6 weeks they returned the handbag saying that they couldn't repair it as it was no longer in production. They offered me no other solution. “Radley Customer Service? Don't bother!”

I received a gift of a lovely Radley across the body handbag last year. I used it periodically over 3 - 4 months and then the zip broke. I didn't want to embarrass the person who bought me the bag by asking for the receipt so I set about contacting Radley myself. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'm frustrated, irritated and shocked at their lack of assistance. I have sent 3 emails whose contents were all either unread or misread by 'customer service' staff whose responses were... Where should I start...... Radley hand bags, I will never ever waste my money on a Radley bag again! I bought one from John Lewis in Peterborough and the bag did not even last me 4 months! Their quality is absolutely rubbish, cheap leather and over priced. All you are paying for is the DOG! Plus the company don't want to know you! I have lots of Radley from shoes bags purses well almost everything, but i have not bought anything for a year, what is all this button thing, Radley trademark is the dog, but all the bags umbrella's etc no longer have the dangley dog, well i can buy a great leather handbag for £50 and hang my own radley dog on it has i have about 10 so why will i pay £195 and not get a dog, sorry Radley none of my xmas gifts to friends will be Radley this year. “Don't waste your money!”

Handbag had fault from new. Was unusable after 8 months and got lost in Radley poor returns system. Have given copy of proof of sending but no replacement bag or money back (139 pounds). Avoid as they are not a premium brand and just want your money. After that they don't want to know! (read more)

did you know that their policy is that without a receipt you are not entitled in their policy to get a repair on a faulty product. So all those of you whom are thinking of getting one for their mums, daughters, aunts, friends, make sure they have a receipt. And if you're thinking of quality, what if you purchase the one that's poor and that needs repair, could you bring yourself to ask for a receipt and do you keep them after the person likes the bag .... well think again about buying a... I went into Debenhams to buy a birthday handbag for my Mum,. Previously all the women in every generation of my family had liked radley bags, for the quality, leather and attractive quirky designs. I was totally shocked by the cheap nylon bags on offer under Radley's name.
It looks as though they are designing down to a price, perhaps due to the recession,using cheap fabrics instead of good leather. Unless Debenhams will only take cheap bags from them?

I ordered a handbag for my wife's birthday from the main website. I ordered the product because Radley have a reputation for quality. It is too early to comment on quality but i assume this will be up to normal standard but the ease of ordering on line, expedient delivery and attractive packaging leave me very impressed (read more)

I have three Radley handbags and one credit card holder and have until now been pleased with them On 1st August I received an Alcester bag in pink from my husband for my birthday. It has a pink dangling flower accessory with pink beads. One has fallen off as the knot holding it on came undone and it fell off. I received a gift of a Radley tote bag made from recycled bottles. Being both a fan of Radley products and of minimising my carbon footprint, I was delighted. However, the person had paid £20 for the bag, which I thought was rather expensive. I used the tote once on holiday and when I came to wash it...... NOT WASHABLE!! £20 for a single use bag is both ridiculous and hardly follows the sentiments or intentions of re-use & recycling. I wish my friend had paid 10p for a Bag-for-Life... (read more)

I have several Radleys. Two across body bags, one nylon summer bag with leather designed for John Lewis, one large 'picture' bag and two smaller for posh as well as purses. I haven't bought one for the last 5 years though. No need. The ones I have are still fine. I use my black body bag 6 months of the year probably as I use it for work unless I have bulky items. I don't agree with luciam's Review further down the page. How can something be chavy when I have seen many differnt age groups with Radley handbags/purses and never usually seen on someone that waers a hoody and Burberry whilst draped in gold? I think until you have tried the product you can't really have any comment on it. I certainly don't see Radley as chavy by any stretch of the imagination. Great quality bags in unusual quirky designs, great for all ages. I have had Radley since I was a teen and I know women in their 50s with them also. All of my work colleagues are all hooked on Radley since seeing my collection of bags, purses and luggage. I use one of my Radleys every day for work as its massive, it gets thrown on the floor, trod on etc, I even dropped a coffee in it the first time I used it and it still would pass for new. Radley Handbags have a bag for everyone.
I have had an 'across the body' bag for years. My bag is in everyday use for work and still looks great. The leather ages beautifully. I have several Radley bags and love the great quality leather. It's like a little club. As soon as another woman spots the little Scottie dog they comment on how much they like Radley bags.
The designs change so frequently that there will always be the next great bag that you must have just around the corner. Good...

Oh dear, sorry, I cannot stand Radley Handbags. The apparent poor quality, high price, seems to be further proof that the British people in general have no style at all and are happy to pay for this marketing exercise.
Radley have no presence in other countries like Italy or Spain and I feel this is for one reason - they are awful, and look like toy bags for little girls that would be laughed out of the shops next to all the gorgeous 'real' leather goods they have out there.

I found this review not helpful because... the reviewer appear not to own a Radley bag and just don't like the style. I have 5 Radley bags and they are all of fantastic quality and my accross body bag has endured lots of abuse during the 3 years gone since I purchased it- and the bag looks like new. And actually - all Radley leather bags are made with GENUINE LEATHER!

Don't buy Radley Bags they aren't worth the extortionate prices! Radley bags are a waste of good money. I bought one and within a few weeks the leather 'coating' on the handles had started to come away revealing grey leather underneath. (read more)

I was given a Radley Handbag for my birthday last year and have used it nearly every day since and it is still in perfect condition and still looks great. They have such a great range of colours and style that you can get one to match just about any outfit. (read more)

I am disappointed with the quality of my Radley handbag which only lasted for 4 months. The lining ripped in several places after only occassional use. I bought a replacement bag and again the same thing happened after only a few months. The design of the bags is very nice, but the quality is poor. I would never purchase one again. (read more)

Radley All Ranges are lovely bags of good quality. They do use unusual colours and are very unique, but are quite expensive and change designs quite quickly so you always know which ones are "in" and which are soooo last season. Great if you can afford it! (read more)

I guess it comes down to personal and individual taste.
I currently have 4 different Radley handbags - only one of which is under a year old - I have had all the others for more than 2 years and they are still all going strong.
I have one of their purses, keyrings, a watch and also some of their stationery.
I am a Radley fan and I'm not in the slightest bit ashamed to admit it.
I had a look at the OMG Accessories website - the leather handbags are okay I suppose, but not my taste at all.
To me, Radley has a certain style which I love and I believe their products are fantastic quality. I have also been very pleased with their customer service and shall continue to buy their products. Each to their own!
