Good platform. The scope for improvements are as follows- 1) the minimum stake sizez for DJ 30 should be reduced to 10p- this will enable the learners to have a much better control on risks. 2) the spread size for the competition is now at 1 point for DJ during market hours- IG needs to reconsider its pricing strategy. Hii having traded with IG for more than 5 years i can say i am having a nightmare of an experience worst spread betting company in my opinion.. Initally they are good but once you start making money out of them then the real problem starts... trades get monitored and rejection rate increases .. especially binary and options trades... in binary trade even small size of 2 pound goes to the dealing desk and options trading is on dealer refferel...IG has all the products but when you start... Having attended the seminar,it was quite interesting but it was more for explaining your services to attract new clients,fair enough I did manage to speak to other clients which I do not often get to do.I understand new clients signing up on the day received a free book.I thought this a little unfair and a fairer distribution would be for current clients,that turned up,in other words can I have a copy? I was surprised by the lavish spread of food and wine which was very welcome having missed dinner to come. That set the tone for the evening which did not have any sales angle nor pushed the technical side. Rather the talk focused on planning the trade starting with working out the sensible amount to risk when considering the trade. Simplicity and planning seemed to be the message. I liked the recommendation to get a Twitter account and follow the tweets of IG analysts and others on their own personal lists. A useful session on commodities, especially softs. Very knowledgable and helpful presenter/tutor. One concren is that the audience struggled with a lot of teh basics, with questions that were more relevant to 'spreadbetting 101'. These slowed the session down a great deal and meant that more experienced attendees got less out of it. After opening my account with IG 2 years ago, I quickly became familiar with the platform as it was so simple to use compared to other products in the market. Charts are fine, website interesting and informative. Customer service and feedback handling not satisfactory. I am finding an increase in the number of exits which do not happen at the specified time or are rejected completely. Overall I've been extremely happy with the platform. Advanced charts, when it works, is a pleasure. Great to be able to deal off the chart and see what your trade is doing visually. But unfortunately I am always having problems with it loading, it doesn't update and shows that I'm still in a trade when I'm not, which has lead to plenty of minor heart attacks. Oddly, this is the one instances in life where if someone said "be a robot, have no emotion!" is a good thing. After using the free account and then trading with real money i couldn't understand why i started to lose money, the answer was i cared too much. With regard to the new platform, I couldn't agree more. It's awful and am still, after several months, finding it more difficult to navigate. New "improved" Quick Charts are a nightmare too, and far from "quick". It was excellent as it was!

Overall a great platform with the widest variety of markets. I really like the trade from chart feature. The android platform is also one of the better spread betting platforms for UI and the best for reliability. Some of the spreads can be quite a bit wider than competitors, but the main markets are very competitive. Participant's experience sharing time was limited. Many simple indicators like Bollinger Bands, MACD RSI and so on, and condition for their use for entry and exit of trade were not covered.
