this company tell you they will help you with your debt but what they actually do is make it worse . You think you are paying it off but they actually charge you 90 % interest so you are worse off then when you first started and you r debt is still not paid . Avoid at all costs.

Was wondering if everyone else had to pay a transfer fee?

I called ocean finance as I needed help to get a loan to clear all my debt and significantly reducing my monthly outgoings. On the phone they told me that this shouldn't be a problem and that they would call me after the weekend to se everything up. That's when it started. Had a text message from three other lenders a call from a further lender and a call from a debt consolidation company but nothing from Ocean. When I mentioned to one of the callers that ocean were due to ring me he just laughed and said "where do you think we got your number from". When I rang them I couldn't get hold of the person I was dealing with and eventually got an e mail saying they couldn't help. Nearly a year on I am still struggling with the debt and still get text messages and phone calls on a daily basis from lenders and ppi claim back companies. It seems to me that in my case they have only acted as a broker and have been selling my details to anyone who wants them. Given the opportunity again I would avoid them like the plague.

Well for a company that adverises 'bad credit' loans it must have very high standards. I applied for a bank loan not so long ago and refused so my credit was knocked down, this is the only thing that has been negative on my credit! My loan was refused straight away; I didn't get chance to explain that by getting the loan for consolidation I would be saving £200 a month so would be able to easily make the loan repayments. It seems I will have to resort to a loan shark in my area which unfortunately means I will pay back double but desperate times mean desperate measures I guess. Anyway just thought you should know it isn't sunshine for everyone that tries Ocean and they don not help everyone like they claim, you are just a number and it is not a personal service.

I have bad credit, saw Ocean Finance advert saying they could help even if you had bad credit. never even had the decency to contact us, got another company to do it for them, won't recommend would have put rating at zero but doesn't have one

They are good in commercial advertisement, convinced me to get an online loan.
In my experience - bad credit reports and ccj.
Therefore I do not recommend Ocean Finance Online Loan.

We're nearly 6 weeks into application, constantly having to chase Ocean for information, never phone you back when they say. Having to obtain information about mortgage information ourselves, when they, as brokers, should be doing this. Would never use them again. DO NOT use Ocean - they are useless, cause so much stress!! Had to give one star as i couldn't figure out if i could give less - please find another company to help you.
