    Good Points: None


    Bad Points: Dirty, attendants were unfriendly, direct flights were not direct, cancelled flights without notice, no return emails, mail or phone calls after numerous messages left


    General comments: Our direct flight turned into a 1 hour lay over without notice, to pick up more passengers on an already dirty, packed plane. On our return flight when we arrived at the airport they told us they had cancelled our flight to our airport but we could fly to a different state and we could take a 3.5 hour bus ride back to our airport where our vehicle was parked. A representative met us at the bus and offered email addresses to contact Air Jamaica for refunds but they never replied after our numerous attempts to contact them. There was also a fight between 2 passengers that lasted the entire flight home and became physical by the time the plane landed. The attendants would only keep warning the parties that they would get the captain if they didn't settle down which they didn't.

    Despite reading a slew of negative online reviews, I decided to give Air Jamaica a try because the fare was reasonable and the schedule fit like a glove. While it wasn't the worst flight experience I've ever had, it left a poor first impression and I will think twice before flying them again. The first leg, flight 74 non-stop from LAX to Montego Bay on 11/21/08, left 45 minutes late because the crew was so slow cleaning the cabin.     The flight attendants are really respectful. I travel from NY to Kingston a lot and only once in a while I would have a delay and its usually only for about 1-2hours.

    I've flown with Air Jamaica twice which is enough for me to say that the flight crews display a poor attitude. Rude and not afraid to show it is the general attitude to those who are keeping them in work. As a national airline Air Jamaica is a disgrace and needs to get itself in order very quickly.

    Some of there desk clerks need some more training in customer service, but I would and have still used this airlines.

    Good points, the touch downs are the best. Bad points, 1. The customer service is poor. i.e the CSR treats customers' as if air jamaica is the only airline.2. The refunds Department needs a complete make over.3. Some of the Air Jamaica sales/ CSR team need to be put under review.4. The Montego Bay ticketing office/CSR are extremely unprofessional. Treats customers like they need to treated like customers and not like dependents.

    Air Jamaica was not always giving me a problem. I have rode with air JA many times since I go to Jamaica to visit a lot. In the past it was fun to know you get there on time your flight is and the pilot made it fun to fly.     Arrived to check in at Fort Lauderdale Airport at 11:00 pm. Was told that we would be flying another airline and that it was leaving at 3:10pm and that the plane we paid to take was late (by approx 15 min only).
    I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said our plane that they were placing us on was a direct flight and we would be arriving earlier that the one we paid to take. (Which was not correct because we found that our flight we purchased was only 15 min late and arrived at approx 3:45pm ...

    I attempted to travel Air Jamaica from BWI on July 15, 2008 it was the worst experience I have ever had. I will not be flying Air Jamaica again. After being told the plane did not show up and the flight was cancelled we were shuffled from line to line the staff was rude and very unhelpful.     We flew Air Jamaica from JFK to Grenada. On our return trip, one piece of luggage was missing (about 20 other passengers on this flight were also missing luggage). I filled out the proper form at the airport, and was told that they would contact me as soon as they found my bag.     I had three great fligts with Air Jamaica and will be booking another for August travel. We have never had a problem and look forward to this great vacation.

    The flight was delayed 12 hours on the way there, the plane was old, the staff were rude, they only gave us one glass of water the entire 7 hour flight, the food was horrible and the plane seats were dirty and incredibly uncomfortable. It is worth paying a little extra money to take another carrier so that you get to your destination in some semblance of a timely manner and comfortably.

    I fly Air Jamaica several times each year to/from Montego Bay. Their schedule is great and they depart for Jamaica (Montego Bay) on time or even early (up to 25 min. early) almost every day. The planes need a bit of work but are not that bad. Some of the cabin staff are cool (or is it just reserved?) to passengers. The food served is better than average when compared with other airlines. Free movies and music are a nice bonus. I have never had a baggage problem with Air Jamaica.

    First and foremost, I would like to express my utter disgust and disappointment with the performance and customer service of the airline.

    Despite checking in 2 hours before scheduled departure, not one piece of luggage was available to me, my mother or my baby niece upon arrival (6 pieces in total). At the check in counter and throughout the duration of our travel, no one informed us of ?baggage delay?.

    At first everything seemed fine, until I arrived at the airport. The attendants seemed unsure as to what they were doing. One Air Jamaica airport attendant told us to stand in the first Check-in line, half an hour later we were told by another attendant that we had to join another line instead and that we should have been in that line all along.(No apology was made for the inconvenience of standing in a line for half an hour, then having to join an even longer line due to their error).     I would never fly with Air Jamaica again and I would never recommend any to fly with Air Jamaica. My flying experience with Air Jamaica was a horrible one that I will never forget.

    We had scheduled a vacation in St Lucia and booked through Air Jamaica Vacations. When we got to the AJ terminal in Houston, we were told our flight was cancelled, it wasn't, the crew never showed up! AJ said they were re-routing us to Miami then to Barbados overnight and then to St. Lucia. This caused us to lose a day and a half of our vacation.     We had a large group visit Jamaica, and everyone departed on different days. Everyone had delays no matter what day they departed. This was ridiculous, and seemed to be the usual order of business. I will never use Air Jamaica again due to the frequent long hour delays!

    Everybody always wants to come online and slate Air JA! Nobody ever writes anything positive. Well, all I can say, Air JA was as good and as bad as any other Charter Airline I've ever flown with. Difference being that I didn't end up paying loads of cash in excess baggage fees cause of the generous baggage allowance. Our flights were on time both in and out of JA.
