Good Points: Not many
General comments: Although the price looked good the queues at the airport were huge and as with a lot of car hire companies they charges for the fuel seems a bit unfair!! I have since found a company called www.hirecarsinspain.com and at Alicante and Murcia Airport they offer a return full of fuel service with Econorent, they were really efficient and a pleasure to business with.

I have used Carjet 2 or 3 times a year for a number of years now and have always received a quality "newish" car.
If they extended their 3 day hire policy where you are refunded for the fuel that you don't use to cover all hire periods they would be almost perfect. This seems to the main gripe that people have so maybe they should start to listen to their customers. As the cost of 2 booster seats can add 70 euros to the cost of the hire I will be taking my own in the future as most airlines do n ...

Carjet car hire was easy to arrange on the internet and the additional driver was free and at a good price. The office is near baggage pick up. Good quality car, easy to find car in car-park. English speaking staff. Good response time from start of booking on internet 2 hours tops.

I have always used Carjet which means you collect your car from Goldcar at Murcia. I have always been given a free upgrade and the car has always been immaculate. Maybe it goes a little way being a regular and I try to converse in Spanish. The last time, which was only three weeks ago, I had booked the smallest basic car, but was given a Citroen Xsara Picasso diesel. I will be using Carjet again next month. Wife bought two large chairs at Roquetas del Mar which would not have fitted in the s ...

We complained to Carjet upon our return and were sent an automated response that they would endeavor to get back to us within 28 days. Ten weeks on and two more emails to them and we're still awaiting their response.

Vehicle not supplied with a warning triangle and first aid kit which are a legal requirement. This was not pointed out to us and led us to being cautioned for not having them when stopped by police attending another accident. CHECK THAT THESE ARE INCLUDED AN INSIST THEY ARE IF NOT. Slow service at pick-up, vehicle was Petrol when ordered diesel. Whilst hire cost was reasonable, there was an excessive charge for fuel which is purchased on a full to empty basis (pick up full having paid 1.25 Euros ...

Had the Focus Diesel for 2 weeks, car was needing a damn good valet after going up dirt roads tracks etc, half a beach was in the car, they were really ok about it although I did feel bad,
Overall great company to deal with and would use again, Centauro was who the car belonged to which are based in the terminal at Mahon.

The car was ready to go and everything explained about the insurance, as we were hiring the car in Spain but spending most of the time in France. We had booked on-line before leaving England and this made things very quick and we knew what we were getting.

Carjet charge for a full tank of petrol but tell you to bring it back empty. My general feeling is that they overcharge for the full tank and who can give a hire car back totally empty? I guess that they make some profit from this fuel charge but admit that the main hire charge is one of the best available. Swings and roundabouts! Insufficient staff on duty at San Javier Airport makes the pick-up very slow at busy times, particularly late evening. However, if all the staff on duty in the office ...

We complained to their customer services department but they couldn't care less as to date they have not had the courtesy to reply. I'd be surprised if customer services actually existed.
Next time we will pay more and will be more confident of getting a roadworthy car.

We had to pay 57 Euros for full tank of fuel with CarJet. This lasted the whole 9 days, and we had the air conditioning on all the time. My parents live in Spain, approximately 1 1/2 hours from the coast, and we travelled far and wide during our stay. We had to return the car with a full tank, which cost us 52 Euros. CarJet then refund the original fuel cost back to your card a few days after the car hire ends.
It was brilliant value for money. I would definitely use them again!

The two most serious comments are as follows;
It is a legal requirement for the car to have a high visibility jacket, an emergency triangle & spare bulbs but these where not supplied.
I pre ordered booster seats for my two young children - on arrival they knew nothing about this then offered me two baby seats. Finally I was supplied with two scruffy booster cushions. At two euros a day so for my fifteen day holiday i was charged 60 euros for these.
I doubt these cost more than £10.00 e ...

Complained to Carjet. Got a reply email saying it might take some time to get a response - three weeks later (still no answer from Carjet) I looked on the net and discovered the multitude of sites complaining about Carjet. Now I know better.

The staff at Carjet car rental in Malaga were very unhelpful. We waited for 3 and a half hours to pick up the car we had booked and paid for in advance, to find out it was the wrong type of car. We wrote to Carjet to complain when we got back, and here we are in mid-August, and the only reply we have had is "we are waiting for a reply from the manager"!
I don't think I need to say any more.

Despite the "extras" added on at the airport the hire offered a competitive price and it was nice not to have to worry about being clobbered for any damage to the car, even if not your fault like other hire companies.

Having used Carjet before we did not expect the bad service we received this time. On arrival after having paid up front for the hire we had to pay for a full tank of petrol and also give my credit card details in case they needed to charge me for damage to the wheels and tyres! We did not get the car we booked, which I know can happen, but never thought the alternative to a Micra, (Nissan should sue) would be a Chevrolet Matiz (Daewoo). On return we were greeted with chaos at the Tui car hire ...

I arranged my car hire through Carjet and I was supplied a car by Europa Gold Car. The car was upgraded for only a few Euros. The car was new and in excellent condition. The price for the week was also very competitive. An Alfa Romeo 147 for €110.
