I reserved a car at Murcia airport, 28 Feb 2013 - 15 mar 2013. The Carjet quote was 118.73 euros. Dickmans, the local allocated firm, demanded 152.28 euros. Naturally I protested, but they insisted Carjet made a mistake. Pay up or no car! I have been exchanging emails with cCarjet now for three months. To cut to the quick, Dickmans didn't refund me, then Carjet said they would do that and reclaim from Dickmans. I still have no refund and I seriously doubt their integrity now. Next time... We used CARJET to hire a car in Spain .. When we got to spain we got a wreck of a car which had been smashed on every single panel.. When I returned and complained to CARJET they basically removed themselves of any responsibility and said it was upto me to have sorted..DO NOT USE! really poor Customer Service - they would even give a penny of compensation! DO NOT USE CARJET!! I tried to be reasonable and even sent them pictures to show the poor quality of car they provided as an Agent... (read more)

“Most helpful with refund”

We have been correponding with CarJet recently about a charge made to our credit card by Advantage Rentacar in Malaga. They have queried the charge (supposedly for traffic fine) and then requested proof of the incident on our behalf. This was very good service. Nice to see some service AFTER you buy a rental not just trying to get their hands on your booking. (read more)

When we reached the desk at Almeria Airport, the Goldcar person kept trying to sell us their "Relax" insurance (not very "Relaxing" at 75€) - we just said no and left, safe in the knowledge that we had your car hire insurance (for 14€) and we were covered. So often with car hire you get to the desk and these people try to sell you some ridiculous insurances with scare tactics. CarJet sell their own insurance at the same time as you book the car for peanuts.. we saved nearly 70 euro just on the insurance!! (read more)

I've used Car Jet for many years (10 years). I was a bit surprised to see their new website - once I'd gotten used to the new format it's great. You can now see who the car hire companies are, read all the tricky insurance conditions and fuel methods etc. and get the deal you want. I always prefer to pay when I arrive and I was pleased this is still on the new site. I chgose a car with Solmar because they do full tank out / full tank back in. My commnet would be that whilst on holiday, we drove over a deep pot hole in the road near Altea, we couldn't avoid it because we had the usual Spanish driver on our rear bumper and a truck in the other direction. Needless to say we punctured the tyre and in fact bust the axle of the car. The car rental company came out and towed us back to Alicante Airport and we got a new car, but they charged us 1900.50 euros!!
