I made a search selecting a specific puck up point. The results it gave me was froma different pick up and drop off from what I selected. Although it was written in small letter I did not noticed and confirmed the booking. Immediately after I noticed it was incorrectly booked and made an ammendment, for what I was charged 1,50 euros. Although it it a small amount I consider it an abuse, as it was not what I serched for initialy. I considered canceling the entire booking and use a different supplier, but I was convinced to leave it be and register this complain.

although offering cars as "BOOK NOW, PAY LATER" in fact my debit card was charged immediately - not the first time this has happened with RentalCars.com.

Unbelievable that the cost of 2 seats for children are almost the same price of the car for one and half weeks. It is mandatory to use these seats for safety and legal and still....It is an abuse, and most of the times the seats are dirty, old and parts broken.

I changed my booking from 11 days to 4 days and the extra insurance cover stayed the same at 90 USD. Not happy about that. will not get cover again through rentalcarscover

I was quite disappointed that even though the system asked for a promotional code which was put on the discount was not carried through to the system so the offer of £20.00 off was not taken into consideration and I could find nowhere on the web site to ask why. In addition the cost of the protection cover and subsequently the screen price almost doubled which was not clear until this had been debited from my credit card. This is a little mis-leading and subsequently the experience of booking this car was tainted slightly.

I found booking and value for money excellent and included full excess cover, but when I realized I already had excess cover with my travel insurance, I sent a couple of emails to cancel the cover, without a single reply. When you are on the other side of the world, communication is very important.

So 2 days before my trip I was informed by email that our car is not available. I have paid some of the fee as deposit yet the car was suddenly unavailable ? The email states if any trouble , simply reply to email. Yet the only provided email is a no_reply address. As an international customer from other countries, calling may not be the most efficient. The email contact is not easily accessible on the website or anywhere.

Can't recommend to anyone at the moment I'm slightly annoyed that the original booking did not correctly apply the pickup and drop off times and it cost another £35 to update. Money is not the issue it just impacts upon my trust for dealing with a new company. I'll have to see how the rental goes before I know it they can be recommended but at the moment I've just got a little bit of a bad taste and I'm a little bit nervous over the booking booked in feb 2018 for a hire in April 2018

Easy to use, and prices are good. Dont take the extra insurance from the site, they will find a million excuses not to cover you. Support will not help you, you have to call multiple times until you find someone willing to help.

I declined the additional insurance, but I was charged nevertheless. I had to go back to modify (was ready to cancel the booking) twice to manage deleting this additional cost. Seems that the insurance is working as some kind of default format.

I use to give preference to rentalcars.com when i rent a car, and it use to be simple safe and clear, but this last time there was a pressure to buy the "total protection"..... it was so, that I gave the evaluation and at the next step I realise it was included - I didn't ask for it.

Generally good execpt for having to pay rentalcars.com the full hire amount one month before I picked up the vehicle. This money is not required by Europcar until the car is picked up... where was my money and who was using it?

Good prices and selection, but HATE the idea of having to pay now for a rental 6 months from now. Take a deposit; fine, Take a pre-aurthorization, fine, but to bill the entire amount in advance? Literally highway robbery. Arrgh

Good service and very cheap but I should have read the T&Cs closer. Turns out the reason it's so cheap is because if you pay extra for the excess cover, you still have to pay it in the event of an accident then claim it back separately from the third party (rentalcars.com). Luckily I didn't have to make a claim and I therefore can't comment on this service, but making any insurance claim is a pain and I could have still been left out of pocket. I was also offered the chance to upgrade at the counter - if I were to use rentalcars.com again, I'd take the extra cover with the actual people I'd be taking the car from. I was also offered unlimited mileage cover (which it turns out I did need) but I didn't get this option when booking online that I saw. I think I would probably use these guys again because they were so cheap, I'd just make sure I was more aware of the small print.

All good BUT...the site is (unless i am mistaken) opaque about how much the excess is against which you are protecting yourself if you take additional cover. There is a bit where it says your exccess could be anything between 500 to 1500 pounds. Surely we need to know how much exactly the excess is!

I was very satisfied with Rentalcars & Firefly service. The car in question was mechanically OK - but there was bodywork damage in a number of places.

Sadly Rental Cars have introduced limited mileage, the on line chat guys helpful and managed to change the car and rental company (at increased cost) but would be nice to have this as an obvious option in the car comparisons before booking- sometimes it doesn't matter. Will go back to direct booking after this happening twice in recent weeks.

not really a complaint but we had booked a fiesta and there were none available only a citroen which was not the same quality and felt a little put out at this - but this has happened to us quite a few times now
