    Good Points: Looks good, pours relatively well


    Bad Points: Metallic taste, also the quiet boil isn't that quiet.


    General comments: I should have checked out the reviews on this Russell Hobbs 10583 Classic Montana more and not based my choice mostly on the look, and mid range price. We found that if you leave the water standing for any time, or if you reboil some you have already heated it has an awful metallic taste.

    This kettle worked reliably for a couple of years, although the spout pours water over the work surface. It's still working OK, but the the handle on the lid has fallen off and the filter in the spout has disintegrated. Disappointing.

    The Russell Hobbs 10583 Classic Montana kettle is a good shape, cordless and very easy to use. The flat heating plate means it's easy to keep it limescale free.
