Sennheiser HD 250 II offer a very detailed sound, after breaking in (couple of days) the bass improves and counterweights the high range of these headphones. They're 300 Ohms but i didn't have problems driving them from a cd player, but a headphone socket in an amp would be better. I would describe these phones as "crystal clear" and natural. I have a hd 525 that's not as detailed in the highs, compared to these 250 II's, that really sound "hi-fi". Very good noise isolation, not fatiguing to wear,...

I have owned the Sennheiser HD 250 II headphones for over 8 years, and I have been extremely happy with them. They provide sufficient isolation in noisy environments, as I discovered when I was performing sound engineering duties for various bands. The sound stage, detail, response and imaging are all superb (not as good as the 650's, but still great for the price). I do need to replace the wires now, but thankfully, it's as easy as ordering a replacement wire, as they just clip in!...
