Great engineering however its a gun trying to be all things to all men, unfortunately its a trap gun no matter how they try to lose weight with titanium accesories and lighter actions etc it remains a trap gun, clearly some shoot it well but i suggest those concerned are talented enough to shoot almost anything well, the miroku comment hits it on the head, also the majority of world champion sporting shooter digweed, faulds et al use italian guns enough said… Read Full Review

All in all the Krieghoff K80 Sporter Shotgun is a solid well built gun, the downside being you can't have one without the other, I know some good shooters have put these guns to good use in sporting, I personally feel they are more at home with DTL or Skeet, getting that weight moving is one thing, stopping it another, the type of clays being thrown in sporting these days requires a responsive gun, and responsive it is not! Hustler250's Response to gary clark's Review

Written on: 17/06/2010

I found this review very helpful because...
Gary obviously has some experience of shooting and of other guns so is able to make a balanced comment as it affects him.
I have tried one of the later hi-rib (and lighter barrel) models. It handled well for a big gun and recoil is very light; but after a couple of hours on the range the gun is not, as Gary makes clear from the outset.

No doubt great for some top competitors but I doubt will suit many in the lower legions so well.
Good quality, but at a price.

I think the comment re the Mirokus says it all really!

Oh; the one I tried ejected all ammo I used OK though (but then, so does my 40 year old Miroku!!)
