I've owned this Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug kettle for 5 years. The good thing is the water taste and speed to boil. It started to leak from the base about 18mths ago and I've scalded my hand quite often when picking it up. Now in the market for a new one because I'm fed up with mopping the work-surface.

this is our second Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug kettle in 4 years. they seem to be made not to last for long cosidering the uniy cost of around £60. Also have found it difficult to open the and to find spares for them.

The Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug is a good concept. Filtering and boiling very efficiently.
Only had it a little over a year and only use it on average twice a day. It was a very bad pourer right from the begining but now seems to be leaking from the base. Whenever I lift the kettle up, always a large puddle on the mains base and also the worktop.

I was tempted to replace the kettle as I thought first one was maybe just bad luck. Luckily after reading the other reviews it seems it m ...

Our Brita Acclario is less than two years old and leaking from bottom even though has been looked after and cleaned each month. Third Britta filter kettle in four years! Don't think I will buy another.

Had this Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug for about 2 years. At first it leaked from the spout. This stopped after about 3 months! If filled to max boiled water shoots all over the place. Started leaking from base about 3 months ago and now so bad looking to get another filter kettle. Have heard the Bosch TWK6733 is really good, read nothing but good reviews on this so far, so this will probably be my next kettle. Had good use out of current one, but should last a lot longer for the pr ...

We have used 240 volt English kettles in the US for two decades, replacing them with newer models as they usually developed leaks after several years. On our last visit to Old Blighty in 2006, we noticed an Acclario at a friend's house and decided to buy one and take it back to the US. It has worked fine for almost two years now.
At first, we were living in North Carolina where the local water system delivered an excess of chlorine, some brownish sludge and an occasional iron taste, all of whic ...

If Britta cannot make a decent reliable kettle they should stick to filters and jugs. I have now had 2 kettles in just over two years and cannot afford to spend ££60 every year on a product that should in theory last a lifetime!

The 2 main safety points are that ever since we bought the thing it has dribbled, due to its badly designed spout. Boiling water goes all over the worktop if making a mug of coffee. The water also dribbles down the front of the kettle, and thence onto your foot! I now pour the kettle over the sink. Steam also escapes from the top of the handle, where the filter slide sits. When slid forward in the "boil kettle" position, scalding steam escapes through the gap, giving me a permanently sore thumb. ...

My first kettle developed a leak after 9 months use and dripped every time I used it. The retailer replaced it. Now the second kettle does the same thing but I'm informed by the retailer that its "Not their Problem". Just whose problem is it that the kettle seems to have a major design fault. I guess its mine for purchasing a £58.00 kettle in the first place.
The retailer now has the remains of the kettle since its of no use to me!
    USELESS!

Product seems to have a design flaw and drips everywhere plus mine leaks. These are NOT INEXPENSIVE ITEMS!! My first kettle developed a leak around the handle after 9 months. The replacement one has done the same thing and I'm told by the retailer that its "not their problem" and I should contact Britta. Having told the retailer where they can put the kettle. I am again in the market for a decently designed functional filter kettle!

All in all I am pleased with this Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug and would buy another one, it does leak and no matter how you pour the water out you do get a bit of a leak, which is sometimes worrying when it is near the lead.
It does seem to boil really quickly, it is ideal if you live in a hard water area.

Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug - you're more than welcome to take mine away to look at the life span of the materials used and to consider improvement - that's before it hits the bin.

The spout on the Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug began to leak not long after purchase, but is OK provided you don't try to pour too fast. More seriously, the plastic funnel began to disintigrate and after about two years was completely broken, making the kettle unusable.

I am currently on my second Brita kettle/filter (giving it one more chance)as my original one although poured perfectly to start with over a period of time developed an appalling leak from the spout which went right down the body of the kettle and left a huge pool of water all over the worksurface which then ran everywhere and it was a race to catch it before it went all down the cupboards and on to the floor!I also do not find it easy to fill through the swivel lid and to remove the lid complet ...

Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug Kettle - I like this kettle - though I don't live in a hard water area as such, the water we get through our taps can often be gritty, cloudy and taste a little strange - which naturally affects the quality and taste of hot drinks. My previous kettle had a removable filter and an integrated element, but the kettle still became frequently clogged up with limescale and gritty deposits - which were difficult to get rid of. This new Brita kettle should hopefu ...

The Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug Kettle could use a redesign of the spout to make it more 'pointed' and defined....use of lighter materials...have had two replacement lids - indicator on both only worked for short while - easier access to interior to allow removable of limescale.
