    This Occidental Allegro Playa Dorada should not be a 4 star resort, the halls leading to the rooms are always wet because of the maids cleaning, the water in our room turned off twice in our 4 day stay. You cant drink the water, and the food is horrendous. The coke seems watered down, I think the sprite is not really sprite, and the orange juice is anything but orange juice. The staff are nice, but can be rude as they are trying to sell you the time share in the hotel VIP area. I would never stay at this hotel again. From now on I will travel 5 stars and up to be safe, as in the Caribbean and third world countries one cannot be confident of the conditions of a hotel when its rated 4 and under.

    I would return again and again to The Occidental Allegro Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata in The Dominican Republic.

    We are going again in May 2006!

    The staff at Occidental Allegro Playa Dorada were very welcoming and friendly - they really made our holiday. Beautiful location, beautiful weather, wonderful relaxing holiday.
