Although its really easy to set up the 2 big problems are the resetting of the box to get the informaion about the programmes is a pan and also we had to reset the box and now cannot get ITV3 and ITV4 no matter how many times it is resetted.

The picture quality is great with the Humax F2-FOX, and the speed of channel change, settings... everything, is brilliant. Not a bad budget box, very good picture quality, fast channel change. Only bad point for me is there is no information displayed on channels on EPG. However still well recommend this Humax freeview box.- Read Guest's review (55 words)

New hard drive fitted under warranty. Another year later looks like it is going wrong again: freezing picture, strange bad noise from machine (hard drive again I think), etc, etc. Appalling customer service. 1 hr on a 0870 number.
I won't buy Humax again. Got impressive recommendations when I bought it but reliability and customer service is poor.- Read Guest's review (60 words)

The Humax F2-FOX could be a very fine freeview receiver if only the epg/program information issue could be resolved. I'd really have to say unless an update is released do not purchase this box. I've contact Humax several times regarding this issue and they have yet to respond which I find very disappointing, I believe they are aware of the issue but are yet to resolve it.In summary almost a great product but inherent software failings result in my recommendation of steer well clear of this box ...- Read Guest's review (190 words)

Compared with stb's under £20 (which most of us buy), the Humax F2-FOX is excellent.
Note, I got mine (2) off eBay for for under £20 (each) !- Read Guest's review (46 words)

The Humax F2-FOX box has two very common faults (if not inherent to all units), namely that it will crash every 3-5 days and need to be turned off and on again at the mains to get it working again, and also that the TV program information for all channels disappears after the box has been on for a few hours. I have been in touch with Humax and there are aware of these issues, but offer no help in resolving them. Steer well clear of this box, and if you do some further research on web forums you ...- Read adamlondon69's review (112 words)

This Freeview box is a little more expensive than some of its competitors, but I think it's quality and reliability justifies its price.- Read CliveR's review (96 words)

I'm very disappointed in the Humax F2-FOX, because John Lewis highly recommended it. I expected it to last more than 2 years as I have no intention of buying a digital TV yet as the Loewe is such a delight, though rather large.
Because of the attitude of the helpline staff I would not consider buying another Humax product.
I still watch most of my TV on analogue. The picture's not so good but it's much easier to change programmes, look at Ceefax etc.- Read Rositanne's review (232 words)

There is a need to reset the Humax F2-FOX freevew box every two to three days, as it freezes up, making it impossible to change programs. Sound is also lost, and again can only be regained by a reboot.
Picture and sound break up on low signal quality, whereas a second and older Philips box will retain both picture and sound.
Customer Service is a joke, emails are not answered.- Read anthony c's review (88 words)

Humax is a very large company. Their website states that they pride themselves on customer relations. My experience is to the contrary.
This fault is irritating and Humax have done themselves no favours by ignoring the fault.- Read peterlc's review (171 words)
