Good Points: Only cost £84, records on and plays DVD-R, DVD-RW and RAM, with or without cartridge, records in VR and Video mode, Time Slip, built-in analogue tuner, DV input, 2 Composite Scarts with RGB. Plays CD's, jpeg's and MP3's. Recorded films saved on my Sky planner and found the picture and sound identical to the original recording. Played back pre-recorded films, and I was surprised how good the picture and sound quality was. Very easy to set up, and I found the controls logical and easy to use. Very well made and looks expensive.

Bad Points: Slightly noisy fan, slow to load all types of disc's. To be honest I'm nit-picking at this price level.

General comments: I can't believe this Toshiba DR3 DVD recorder is still being sold for £240 at several places considering it's now a discontinued model. Richer Sounds have it for just under £100 and that represents excellent value for money. I can now empty the memory on my Sky planner on to recordable disc's, and after finalisation, I can play them on any DVD player, even my Philips DVD player.

Anybody looking for a inexpensive DVD recorder with all these features and excellent audio and picture quality need not look any further whilst stocks last.

I only paid £84 for my Toshiba DR3 DVD recorder from Comet. Setting it up was dead easy. The controls and instructions are easy to understand.

I will post more comments after a month of use.
