The Russell Hobbs 10006 Breadman Ultimate makes a good loaf, programs mostly work. Fragile machine awful company. The drive pulley suffered wear after two years and the after sales service was lousey.

This Breadman Ultimate from Russell Hobbs makes wonderful bread, cakes and even pizza dough. We have used it several times a week over the last couple of years in preference to buying supermarket bread. It is true that the bread doesn't last as long as shop-bought, but on the other hand it tastes much better and you can always opt to make small loaves if you prefer. The only real issue is the failure of the mechanical bits to stand up to long-term sustained use

I shall another breadmaher but NOT a Russell Hobbs. If there after sales ervice had been different then I would not have had concerns as I said the bread was very good - not made from pre-mixed packets. However, the breadmaker has now been transferred to the local tip!!

I have got the ultimate version of the Russell Hobbs 10006 Breadman. The spindle for the kneeding arm wore out after about 18 months and120 mixing cycles.I expected a longer life for this top of the range item but the retailer and manufacturer did not want to know once the 12 month guarantee was up.
You have to purchase a complete baking tin at over £30.
I decided to cut my losses and purchased a basic £20 breadmaker from Argos which is still going strong after being in constant us ...

Overall I think the Russell Hobbs 10006 Breadman Ultimate is a great bread maker. I find it very easy to use and most importantly it makes exellent bread every time I use it. I really recommend this machine to anyone looking to make their own bread, I really like it.

Mine doesn't seem to be working properly anymore after a year & a bit! Any ideas anyone. have done all the usuals, checked life of ingredients, followed recipes that have worked in the past exactly. doesn't seem to mix properly & then doesn't seem to rise. No error codes come up. Having problems with mine - i need help!

To extend the life, do not put the breadpan/beater into the dish-washer. Just wipe with a warm damp cloth to clean.

I've owned several other breadmaker brands. The resulting bread product of those other brands wasn't particularly nice except when piping hot. This is the only brand I would buy again, and I have been using it for about 5 years now.

The best part is that it is not necessary to purchase special bread flour, or bread machine yeast in order to obtain good results with this ma ...

Very good bread maker but with a limited life span because of lack of replacement parts.

I'm very pleased with the machine and the bread it produces. The accompanying recipe book is also useful.

I have made bread (white and brown loaves) and also fruit loaf and am pleased with the results. The Russell Hobbs 10006 Breadman Ultimate is very simple to use. I bought mine new (graded with guarantee) discounted £59.99 on ebay from Dalenco and must say it IS worth every penny.
I have made my own bread for years so know how much time this saves with cleaning up afterwards. Recommend to all.

After buying the Russell Hobbs 10006 Breadman Ultimate, my old breadmaker is now in semi retirement, (a prima who's breadpan is a bit worse for wear after many lovely loaves - still in use for dough though!) so after much research I decided on a Breadman Ultimate. Oh the excitement when the delivery van arrived! I had great expectations for this machine and couldn't wait to put it to the test. The first loaf I tried was a fruit loaf, as I have made many of these in my previous machine, the resul ...

I have now made three loaves of bread in my second hand Russell Hobbs bread maker, which I purchased from Amazon as it was priced at £87.99 instead of the usual £145+ and I have to say, up to now, all have been excellent - much tastier than store bought breads. Doubt I will ever go back to buying bread again. It's so quick and easy to use.

Highly recommend you invest in one of these!!
