“Performance and economy are superb, handling not too...”

Performance and economy are superb, handling not too bad, being a bit nose heavy. However, the most unreliable car I have owned or known. Camshaft wearing out - £1200 pound bill, passenger window falling in, fuel injection wiring failing, boot look corroding due to rear wash wipe leaking into the lock, car leaking water into cabin etc etc. The car eats money and is in no way as reliable as VW claim - just got back from popping down to takeaway - can't engage reverse, first or second gear - no… Read Full Review

Was expensive new, but held its value very well when sold after 5 years and 70,000 miles. Only had one problem in that time (hose fastener on turbo pipe) and that was at 69,000. Regularly did over 50mpg. Really enjoyed driving it even after five years with it… Read Full Review

“Volkswagen Golf Tdi GT PD 115bhp Review”

Volkswagen Golf Tdi GT PD 115bhp Review
Good spec on GT models. Not much goes wrong with these cars as long as they are maintained well. My car had done over 106000 miles without any problems.
6 speed version is much better than the 110bhp 5 speed model. There are 3 versions of the PD engine 115bhp, 130bhp & 150bhp. All have the same engine, power on the 130 & 150bhp comes from ECU configuration. 115bhp & 130bhp have red Di badges and the 150bhp model have the TDI in red… Read Full Review
