    Good Points: Decent connection speed.

Bad Points: Poor customer service in every respect - technical, billing, etc.

General comments: If it wasn't for Demon's poor customer service, I'd recommend them. As it stands, I cannot recommend them. Poor call centre; support staff reading from a script; threatening letters when you cancel a direct debit in order to pay by cheque. Not recommended.

There are too many bad points for me therefore I do not recommend this internet provider. I echo other postings that, the once good demon, has now become the thoroughly not worth the money I personally spent due to my experience. I urge anyone thinking of using demon to think again: I personally had a bad experience with them in my opinion.

Many years ago I was with Demon, excellent service - and then I moved to Tiscali (which has been a joke recently) - see my comments about them - so its back to Demon and so far, best thing I've done for years, speed increase and although the technical is overseas (like most ISP's) - they have very helpful and phoning them during the day is OK - you do get thro, today @ 1pm - call picked up immediately and advice given, which was actually my problem aned resolved. Early days of this change - but ...

I have been on the net since 1995 and while never having used demon until the past year, I know that as an independent company, prior to the Thus buy out, Demon was one of an elite few providers that seemed to actually be run by techjeads that put quality of service ahead of lining their own pockets. Now after using demon for the past 12 months, One analogy that springs to mind is to describe demon like one of those Once Great British brands like Bush, Wharfedale that were once a marque of qualit ...

I am on this review site to choose a new provider - need I say more? Demon Broadband has fallen behind in terms of value. Slow now and that's only the start of it.

In my experience there is not one good point I can make about Demon Broadband, generally a very poor and unreliable service. Total contempt for their customers as far as I am concerned, I do not recommend www.demon.net.

For me it regularly drops out and as far as I am aware leaves me with no email or internet contact. Customer services were slow to react and solve problems in my opinion. High Cost £24.99 per month by comparison with O2 - £10 per month for O2 mobile users.Seriously look at other providers who can give better quality of service at a lower monthly rate in my opinion as I do not recommend www.demon.net.

I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone who heavily downloads. Since THUS have taken over Demon, its been pretty useless for that in my opinion. The quota system is 60GB over 30 days, which works out at 2GB a month.

Was a good service, shame it has turned into what I feel is an unreliable service Unhelpful customer service, I feel they blame the customer although it is not my fault. Not yet recieved reply to emails. Line speed rarely above 1.5mb often below 1mb in day not good enough for the money.

They used to be the best. Support was truly awesome - the best in the business. THUS came in, outsourced everything to asia and its all rubbish now. They are asset stripping the goodness out of what used to be a really good ISP. It's a real shame, dont recommend Demon Broadband.

Stay clear of this amateur company. Most shocking service we have ever experienced. Technical support cannot understand my problem in my opinion, (believe us, I've needed them to!). Don't recommend Demon Broadband.

I have used demon for over 5 years now. Mostly at my parents house but I now have it installed at my own home. It has only been down once or twice in the whole 5 years. I have not had to use the customer service for a tech issue, only billing queries, and they were polite and knowledgable. I would recommend this service.

Have been with Demon for over 14 years. They may not be the cheapest of providers; I have searched around and can sign up for far cheaper deals, even at similar speeds- but no one seems to be able to match their incredible reliability and quality of service, and I am loathe to switch to a cheaper provider with poorer quality of provision. I need constant unquestioned provision- and am prepared to pay more for the peace of mind.If you are looking for broadband access, do your homework and read ...

I have been with DB for about two years now and I love them! I can't say I've ever had a problem with DB. I use Demon Home and had their standard modem. The I decided I wanted to go wireless. When I called up customer support I asked them about this service and was told that I would need their wireless router and a different ADSL modem with ethernet ports and it would cost me more per month....due to my curious nature I decided to investigate. Ended up on ebay and bought a BT Voyager 210 ADSL U ...

Have been with Demon for a few years, get a very reliable 5 MB speed for 8 MB advertised service so not bad. Only rung customer service a couple of times & they have been reasonable so no complaints other than £20 is a lot to pay.

Demon has poor and very unpleasant support. There are often delays before you get to speak to anyone (after listening to irritating lists of options and explanations); the support staff usually want to tell you that its a scripting problem and they don't support that - even when it clearly isn't; they often don't understand what is happening; email support requests are answered slowly - once not for three months. On the whole, they are simply unhelpful.

Been with Demon for years, both at work and home. Network wise, I have no real complaint - they have always been very reliable. But when things do go wrong, the technical support, now offshore, and perhaps in keeping with the name "Demon", is diabolical. If you use e-mail, it's normally a 24 hour turnround, and you end up answering the same questions again - it's as if the staff only read the latest e-mail and not the call history. On the phone, you end up speaking to a very nice polit ...

Demon are a reliable solid provider who deliver packets over the internet - most other ISP's fail to focus on this basic requirement.

I have been a Demon (user) subscriber for many years. They have gone from being good, to the worst company imaginable. Although the overall network is reasonable stable, if you ever need technical assistance, then forget it. If you are lucky enough to eventually get through, you will be met by a person who is neither technically proficient, nor commanding of the English language. It is SO frustrating. I have just left, following endless disputes over incorrect billing. Another nightmare th ...
