If you want to contact anyone regarding Demon Internet you'll be put through to an Indian Call Centre. After 15 years I wanted to speak to someone who could make a decision BUT no one can do anything but tell you what you already know. Connection Speeds great but customer services are 100% useless. I am convinced that C&W/Thus are actively trying to ensure every Demon customer leaves for someone else. A truly shameful experience with a level of professionalism equal to killing a business which once had a million customers!

Since the unwanted introduction of ADSL2+ my connection has been unstable every day and I have been told that my up to date Linksys router is not compatible with Demon's ADSL2+. Customer Service work from scripts and provide no real support or answers to questions. Demon are not cheap, reliable or helpful. Like many other loyal customers (I have been with Demon for 15 years) it is likely that I will be requesting a MAC code shortly.- Read Guest's review (76 words and 1 comment)

absloute nightmare- to be avoided at all costs. They used to great but now their customer service is rubbish, call centre in India and all they say is " ..thank you for your patience" when of course, I am absolutely fuming. I have had no internet service since last Thursday, it is now Monday afternoon. The engineers ( so-called) do not work after 6pm on Friday evening, so the fault is only treated as being in existence for approx 30 hours - which for them is still within normal parameters ! I ...- Read Guest's review (185 words)

Demon host our web site which now takes 30 seconds on average to simply get to the home page. Once on the web site browsing is an extremely hit and miss affair with slow down loads or "page not found" a common occurrence. Support are taking approx 45 mins to take the call and have a very slender grasp of the basics. It looks like Demon will not be hosting our site for very much longer - they are best avoided.- Read Guest's review (79 words)

With Demon Broadband you can only complain to someone Indian call centre who doesn't seem to think of anything other than 'sorry'.
The whole place is a waste of time. I'm moving this week to new provider - with English staff!
Based on my experience I'd tell everyone to stay clear of this company and staff!- Read Guest's review (56 words)

Been with Demon broadband for about two years now and initially everything was fine until their 'upgrade' to ADSL2 or whatever they call it. Since then service has been dire and to add insult, it took several calls to extract my MAC code from them. I've now moved to another provider, which says it all.- Read Guest's review (55 words)

Speed consistency is between 2.5 and 4Mb/s for me,in the sticks and 2.5 miles from an exchange.I think that's good, when on a dial-up,I'd be lucky to get 25Kb/s Call-centre picks up after one or two rings regardless of the time of day. Some supporters are a little difficult to understand at first, but they try hard and are patient.
One I.T.consultant wrote upon the web "When my customers change to "Demon",
my problems disappear".With support, Demon stands head-and-shoulders above others!

Demon Broadband doesn't care about customers any more...
Very poor customer services (call centre in India with staff who can't actually do anything to help)
Fair Usage Policy that triggers at 95% and restricts you to 128kps from 9am to 11pm.
Slowest 8Mb service I've ever had in the UK (out of 4 ISP's in different parts of the UK).
After over 15 years with them finally giving up.- Read Guest's review (66 words)

I have just had a nightmare week, never sign up to Demon. We had our line extended and between BT and Demon we have been off line for a week after paying for a fast track. Goodness knows how this has affected our business which relies primarily on the internet. I have spent the week being fed false promises and lies from Demon. Even their customer service manager is avoiding my phone calls. If I had the time I would find where Simon Blackburns office is and snip his telephone line and see h ...- Read Betty with words's review (118 words)

Demon Broadband is unbeleivably poor. The customer service is diabolical, with a call centre in India, it is difficult to get through to the right department and when you do they invariably cut you off. When they say they will call back they never do and if you ask for email confimation of anything they are extremely reluctant to oblige. The billing process is a shambles. Totally fed up with them I closed my account months ago a(nd got a much better and cheaper service elswhere) but they failed ...- Read Guest's review (111 words)

I've been with Demon Broadband for about 20 years and they have definitely gone downhill in both quelity of service and quality of customer service. Their customer service is awful and as someone else said they like to try and blame the problem on anyone but themselves. I pay for an 8MB service but the best I get (for a few weeks at a time) is 0.7MB and the average works out at 0.5MB. Demon blame the distance from my exchange on the poor performance but for the past 5 years or so haven't done a ...- Read Guest's review (127 words)

Demon Broadband are now awful. They don't treat you as being anything other than a nusiance and couldn't care less. Their recent upgrade to ADSL-2 is a disaster and I haven't had any continuous service for more than a few hours since they did this. Just don't know how to move on as leaving them is even more difficult... GRRRRH- Read Guest's review (60 words)

Been a Demon customer since 1997. What a shame a great company is now completely pants.Their service is just appalling. Had the phone put down on me countless times when the outsourced technical support call centre cannot follow the script as my query deviates from turn it off and turn it on again.
On average on hold for 35 mins a time before speaking to someone, who normally cannot speak english very well and is not trained on ADSL2+.
Had my fault case closed more times than I can count. Wh ...- Read ghostwriter56's review (156 words)

We have at last transferred out of Demon and can only describe the feeling as being cured of a nasty disease.
The recent 'upgrade' provided absolutely nothing for us - it only caused us dis- connections.
Our business depends on Broadband but the 'support' (if you can call it that) from Demon is at best laughable. We wait for hours to get through to technical support (in Bangalore) and are regularly cut off before we get an answer. We were repeatedly cut off whilst in the middle of a conversat ...- Read Richard S's review (157 words)

I subscribed to Demon shortly after they started. They have had occasional ups and downs but in general were a good ISP. Over the past year the service has degenerated and can only be described as appalling, often non-existent. They are not cheap, offer dreadful technical support and no one in their management appears to care.
Demon's billing is beyond belief. I have received duplicate invoices, been frequently charged twice and was overcharged for another service for a considerable time. After ...- Read pikeman1947's review (207 words)

DEMON BROADBAND SERVICE: I have been a Demon customer ever since I hooked up to the internet. For the first years everything was fine but things started to go wrong when Cable & Wireless got hold of the comapny, since when it's been a complete farce! I have been without BB access for a week now. The recent upgrade to ADSL2+ has created havoc. I was in the middle of a "Batch Watch" task at 2:30am on a Sunday morning carrying out an important task for my employers when the service just disappeare ...- Read tractorbarney's review (117 words)

Been using Demon Broadband for about 18 months now, get a faster connection than other people i have spoken to in my area, i have priority traffic, no "fair use policy" or data cap so i can download as much as i want whenever i want and will always have great speed.
the only drawback to switching to demon was that it took a while to sort everything out, but that was all down to my previous supplier not wanting to release some codes to demon and trying to tie us into another contract with them.

Can't believe what has happened with Demon Broadband! It has taken me 5 months to cancel the service, and despite all the problems they have caused, they are not willing to remove an outstanding 2 week charge (this only came about once they finally cancelled). I even have a debt collection agency on my case a little over a month after the account had been resolved.
Bad communication, terrible attitude. May be easy to join, but is a nightmare to leave.
Avoid them at all costs!- Read nrosen's review (84 words and 1 comment)

Been with Demon for 10+ years from dialup to ADSL and now ADSL2+. Since being cutover to ADSL2+ on 28th April, I have had continuous dropouts which customer service acknowlege - router works fine despite the claims from CS. However, Cable and Wireless closed my fault several times and customer service repeat the same script when you ring and even perform a line test on the phone you are calling from which cuts you off - no email, no apology despite telling them not to do it - used to be good, no ...- Read Guest's review (141 words)
