Worst call centre experience I have ever had. I spent about 30 min and managed to talk to ...noone. I would stay away as far as possible from Bulldog Broadband.

For 2 weeks now my business has been waiting for an engineer to turn up to fix a problem that Bulldog/Pipex has identified as a cabling issue. Finally having given up trying to get them to fix it, no less than 3 engineers have failed to show, we have resolved to cancelling our account. This has proved impossible. The business customer number the customer services line will not take cancellations as they say that this can only be done on the customer services line. When one calls the customer serv ...- Read aboutrooms's review (215 words)

I paid for the top package and used them for over 3years, no fair usage policy, no throttling of service just broadband the way it was designed for. Full on in your face, super fast speeds and a service 2nd to none...
HOWEVER.
They got brought out and the service as gone to pot... pipex/tiscali has ruined yet another product... I have rated this a 10 for what it was, but now with pipex in control I would struggle to give it a 1.- Read pantsman28's review (94 words)

I joined bulldog exactly one year ago after BT failed to deliver me a line - after 3 months! Now bulldog have been taken over by pipex. They first of all shut down my account without notice as far as I am aware then I got my phone put back on but 2 months later and at least 25 calls to the call centre - they have worse than useless in my opinion. I will now cancel - do not recommend Bulldog Broadband.com to anyone.- Read Guest's review (91 words)

Big problem of trying to reach the Technical Support. Wasting time and money waiting for an adviser on the 9871 telephone number. I'm closing the account and will migrate to another provider.- Read bdol4147452's review (31 words)

Great until I had a billing issue, which they cause. We moved flat, and they transferred the line successfully, so far so good. On transferring the line, they gave us a new account number, which I didnt want, but hey, they says its policy so OK.
One day we receive a bill for £300, no break down of the bill, no detail, just a number. We had been making direct debits each month, so I was confused and shocked. Turns out they were taking the payments into our old account number. They said th ...- Read Guest's review (270 words)

Found the customer service very unhelpful and it seems they only have a 0871 phone number and this for me has taken ages to be answered. Service goes down with no notice it seems, apology or timeline as to when it will be back running. Therefore I do not recommend bulldogbroadband.com.- Read Guest's review (58 words)

I have always found the technical support staff very helpful even when they could not help they put on a brave face and owned up.
I am sorry to be leaving them really am as they managed to give me a great service and I would have remained with them otherwise. Many problems although I do believe a lot of this was due to good reason, this could have been a great service but was let down from many sides.- Read hughhill's review (80 words)

All us heavy downloaders gotta find a new home I feel... I've been with Bulldog for the past 2 years, my line connection speed has never been upgraded from 2MB, not that that bothered me as I'm a serious BitTorrent user putting through some 300+ GB per month. Line is always stable & no traffic management, no capping etc all totally unmetered, a rare thing in this day & age. However before you all go running, bad news, I've just had the Thankyou & Goodbye letter. All customers are being moved off ...- Read shogun55's review (119 words and 1 comment)

I've been with Bulldog for 5 years now and although there are some better companies out there (for example BE), I would strongly recommend them. I am paying for 8Mbps and I am actually getting 7.9 and 8.2Mbps constantly, without worrying about peak time caps.
Some of the reviews on the site have been submitted on purpose and this is obvious. Do your research but don't forget that most of us tend to write a review only if they we are not happy with the service.- Read Guest's review (135 words)

Well Bulldog are now no longer accepting new connections or moving current customers if they move house (as with Pipex the are being wound down by Tisali) as far as I am aware. I spent 2 hours on the phone today being given the runaround by their and Pipex and ultimately Tiscali's staff in my opinion. Finally after managing to get hold of a competent member of staff I have been informed that if you have to move house during your contact period you will have to cancel your contract. He also said ...- Read blaat's review (131 words)

I have been with Bulldog last 2 years and I frequently encountered that I can't go online especially it seems at "busy time" such as late evening.
Then soon I realised I was charged extra because my monthly download limit (1G) was exceeded however I have never been warned despite they promised in the contract that they would send two notification e-mail when the limit is nearly exceeded and after the limit is exceeded. This happened twice recently so I decided to say good-bye to Bulldog.
I spok ...- Read Sarah1224's review (390 words)

I do not recommend bulldog broadband. This is the worst broadband provier I have so far personally experienced. I had issues with bills, they overcharged me twice as far as I am concerned, then when I talked to their customer services I personally found it very difficult to resolve my issues, I was overcharged for months as far as I am concered, I tried to cancel my contract was directed to three different departments. I was held on the phone for 30 min as far as I am aware, (not a free number) ...- Read Guest's review (151 words)

Good service, but very expensive indeed.
Technical Support staff were difficult to understand on the telephone which made sorting problems more of a pain then the internet problem itself.
I am very upset at their customer services as it has been over 12 months since I left them as an ISP and they still have not given me my 1 month payment that they owe me, and therefore I have written to TV's Watchdog in case this may be an issue for other users too.- Read djbobeb's review (132 words)

I got this a few years ago when they were advertising "no contract" deals for 8Mb, I was on 2Mb until they upgraded my local exchange, the whole transfer from the previous (BT broadband line) to theirs was messed up for a while, but as this happened while I was on holiday it didn't bother me a bit. Support used to be impossible to get through but now they don't have people rushing to join it's much better, you need to jump through a few hoops to get to second line but that is the same for every ...- Read trouduc's review (181 words)

I will never use bulldog services! And I recommend you don't either.
I applied to bulldog broadband and phone line, and waited for 2 months to be connected.
Before I applied the account they promised me many times that there would be no connection fee. However as far as I am aware I was charged 99 pounds connection fee without any explanation. I called the customer services and was told they can't yet refund the money, so I felt I had to write a letter to the complaint department.

I have had exactly the same experience as below. Was told exactly when my installation would be, what time and it all was done in less than two weeks. I received my modem three days after I picked up the phone!Oh and my installation didn't cost me £99.99 it cost me £1. I was with bulldog a few years ago when were really poor so moved to BT, but BT's "fair usage" policy was driving me up the wall. Everyday, after 5pm the internet speed would halve and more often than not I would get d ...- Read jck1634's review (198 words)
