“Worst customer services ever”

Cannot get through to customer services on the phone, lines are permanently busy, rings through to recorded message which transfers to a mailbox number which tells me that the mailbox is full and cannot receive anymore messages. Just need to cancel my travel insurance with this unreliable company and receive a refund but cannot even do that… Read Full Review

Due to Atlas e-mail system being down, I did not get confirmation of a policy I had taken out so I unwisely did it again and still no e-mail. I rang to discuss cancelling one of the policies and got a very rude lady who could only advise me to send an e-mail in to the help desk, she basically didn't want to know my issue… Read Full Review

“Staff need more training in customer service”

Use atlas direct for years and never had a problem until now shocking customer service eather they don't answer the phone to you or answer the phone and don't say anything or they just hang up on you shocking customer service obvious they must have changed staff but not for the better they don't answer emails or call me back or their live chat think they all need retrained in customer service after all they are their to help the public so disapointed in you's atlas if this is the way you treat… Read Full Review

“Holiday documents not received ”

“Pre-existing medical conditions/Telephone service”

I tried to call them to ask about pre-existing medical conditions, which have to be declared before travel to be covered (as per their terms and conditions). They can only be declared after paying for the policy! So I called them to ask for more information, rather than end up with a policy which didn't cover our needs. “Cancellation is a nightmare”

I used them for 2 years in a row. DID NOT make any claims. THEY RENEW THE POLICIES AUTOMATICALLY EVERY YEAR!!! They sent a new agreement by post very late and it was too late to cancel, so they renewed for the second year. They DID not notify me by email in advance of the renewal. They increased the premium in the second year, despite having a cheaper quote online. To cancel, I wrote to them and asked them to confirm the cancellation. I have used Atla Direct for a number of years and purchased travel insurance for many holidays. However, a computer glitch meant that I had paid twice for the same policy. Ok mistakes are made and computers do suffer these things. But it's taken me all day to rectify it on a number that doesn't connect. After several emails the issue was sorted out and a refund followed. My wife tried to renew our policy. She calls me over and says listen, puts the fone on speaker and I get to hear a Caribbean lady say "are you talking to me or someone else". We've been customers of this travel insurance company for years but no more. We had a years travel insurance that ended last month. I have been a customer of atlas direct for many years, they were helpful in the past which is why my family and I continued our policy with them. However, judging from our horrible experience and recent reviews, I'm guessing all their workers may have been replaced by lazy, rude and incompetent people.
