    BLACK HORSE -DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY SEEMS THEY DO THE SAME TRICK TO ALL PEOPLE WANTING SMALL AMOUNT LOAN GET YOU IN TO SIGN PAPERS TRY AND GET YOU TO HAVE A MUCH BIGGER LOAN WHEN WE REFUSED AGREED OUR ORIGINAL LOAN SIGNED APPROVED THEN NEXT DAY PHONECALL TO SAY NOT ABLE TO HAVE !! READING OTHER REVIEWS SEEMS SAME PATTERN VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL PEOPLE ! TEXTED AND PHONED US TO GET US TO GO WITH THEM TO START WITH AS WE HADNT APPLIED TO THEM ORIGINALLY THEY GOT OUR DETAILS FROM A FINANCE COMPANY. VERY ANGRY HOW A BIG FIRM CAN GET AWAY WITH TREATING HONEST PEOPLE LIKE THIS WE TRAVELLED THIRTY MILES FROM OUR HOME TO SIGN AS TOLD WE HAD BEEN APPROVED!     I had a loan for a car from them,only had a couple of hundred to pay off,which I did using a debit card ,this I was told had cleared my Hp on the car and my account was closed.
    A couple of days later I went and purchased a new car using my old car as a deposit,the garage did checks and I was told that my car was still on HP!

    did not even let me know i had been refused, my credit history wasnt too bad so i was surprised they did even speak to me to help so i guess my credit history is a little bit worse than before so thanks for letting me know.

    Very poor company to deal with! The staff are very helpful and friendly but they are hiding a very dodgy company behind them.
    I was recently searching for a personal loan, i had used Experian beforehand to check my credit score was good enough to apply for a loan, to which it came back "Good" almost "Excellent", so i applied to Blackhorse after seeing the 8.7%APR on the website.

    Use these guys at your peril!! The choice of a Black Horse to front the company really should be a wolf in sheeps clothing!!! My partner and I have got an excellent rating and like most of the others on here were told we had been approved for AN 8% APR but when we got to their office it had been hacked up to 39%!!! These jokers are just hunting for the desperate out there who cant get credit anywhere else and are just glad to be accepted (at any cost). We complained to the Ombuds and the OFT, we ...

    Applied for a Black Horse loan and accepted. Yes, we had to travel 12 mile to an office in Oxford to finalise, but on getting there it was well worth it. We had £12,000 on credit cards, one at a rate of 36%(!) APR and we wanted to consolidate these into a sigle loan. Black Horse had offered a max of £9000 max loan at 20.9% APR on the phone. our advisor, was great.     STAY WELL CLEAR!I applied for a loan online with Black Horse Loans and was called later on and informed my application was succussful and all i needed to do was pop into the nearest office to complete the paperwork.However, everything changed after i had arrived to sign the documents at the BlackHorse office.The APR suddenly went from 18.9% which was quoted at the time of my application being accepted to a wopping 38% when i visited the office.This company is a joke and please be warned! ...

    I was told that i was accepted for a small loan and the paperwork
    would be sent out the next day, then Black Horse Loans made SIX credit searches on my credit report and made constant calls to ask the same questions about a address i lived at 9 years ago
    i had enough and told them no thank you.

    Black Horse Finance. Well I got a car on finance through black horse last October, even though my credit wasnt all that good and they took me on straight away. Paying a little more in interest but only about £15 a month. Not missed a payment and they are fantastic to deal with. Very helpfull and friendly.     This is my second loan with Blackhorse - received one in around last September when no one else would give me a loan (poor credit rating) and so decided to try them anyway - nothing ventured, nothing gained.
    Thought at that time that if I did get a loan from Blackhorse then it would help me out of my hole and that was also chance for me to improve my credit rating and luckily for me they approved my loan application at that time - helped me out of a hole and I haven't looked back.     I would stay well clear! All I wanted was my debt in one place. They told me I had definately been approved hence receiving loan agreements to sign and then BANG all goes out of the window! A disgrace!

    I am very disappointed. I appreciate a mistake may have been made, but on two occasions they told me the loan was approved and then I had a call to say the money was going into my account. Half an hour later, it was all off and I was very upset. I did not get much sympathy.

    We don't have a good credit rating due to circumstances in the past, however during the last 5 years we have been paying things off slowly but surely. However, despite the fact that no payments have been missed on anything we are still turned doen by the big companies for anything from a decent bank account to a mortgage.     I got a Black Horse loan of 10.000 nearly 9 months ago..total repayment 13.000...i pay 220 a month for first 6 months but had an operation on hand and went on the sick for 3 month...they were very understanding and held the payments for 3 month and just extended the contract by an extra 3 month.,...not many lending companies would do that...thumbs up!

    where to start on the black horse sorry trail , after taking out a loan from black hoarse you are given two month free payments. well not quite. ahhh did no one say you are charged interest on the amount outstanding. at the time i was paying '£90.00 per month interest. all went well till my partner and i split up. as it was a joint loan i was left to pay all payments. black hoarse not interested in splitting loan. but did suggest taking a further loan out and pay half the original loan o ...

    At least they are transparent about some of their keyfacts. They just don't tell you it would be a nightmare to get a top-up loan. They refused to approve the loan unless I took out a PPI..... bad bad!!!! I have since cancelled this after 2 years and asking claiming back on this missold policy!

    The only reason I took out a Black Horse loan is that I took advantage of an interest-free finance offer when I purchased a new settee, and they were the provider. After I received the agreement, I noticed that the payment protection had been added as a matter of course.     Enquired about a loan on Tuesday made an appointment for the following day with Black Horse. Money was in my bank account today Friday. I dealt with a very friendly and efficient lady.

    very helpfull and was given the amount i asked for. Now i have only one payment going out a month. I would recommend them. ive had 2 loans with blackhorse and this is the 3rd. Very helpfull and money was transfered into my account within a day of signing the agreement. a little bit higher interest but ive not got the best credit score!
