first you get a good price. Then the sham starts. you get bombarded with emails and texts specially young innocent drivers with smartbox. Then any excuse to cancel your insurance. now that you’re really scared, they offer you a new quote !!!! more money, more sham. thats exactly what happened to my son. stay away. where is office of fair trading I wonder

“Applaing customer service”

I cannot get over the appalling service I have just received at the hands of two yes two condisending women with zero customer service skills or any indication that they actually were interested hearing or doing anything about my simple request which was. As a mid 60,s couple I rang to add a friend to my policy for a day who had offered to pick us up from Heathrow after an overnight flight and I suggested he use my car as it is a luxury very comfortable acr. He is a 65 year old man retired with a clean licence. Not only would they not do it they would not explain to me why, saying they needed proof he was retired and other very personal information even though I had given him all the friends licence details and know him as well. You could not meet a nicer gentleman ex army etc Then they would not let me speak to a manager and after and hour of getting no where and being talked to like I was a culprit asking for something unlawful they would not allow me to cancel my policy. then said they would but wanted exorbitant charges for doing so. I am reporting them to the Ombudsman. I have never felt so distressed by something so simple. They are very different when trying to sell you a policy !!! BE WARNED

I am not paying Adrian flux after what they have done to me. I am not paying their money after I agreed on a different price. I told them I would pay £190 a month half an hour later they told me it would be £220 a month there in the wrong or not and I am taking this further this is not fair there are multi-million pound business and they're trying to make a man who struggles to pay everyday living and they want the amount of £587.69 to which I can't afford and also did not agree to! I would put my hands up if I was in the wrong but I'm not in this case I told them I would pay the cancellation fee and that was it but then being greedy that wasn't enough k for Android

AVOID!!! I took a policy out on my vintage car policy was £275 monthly payments £33 monthly payments on several occasions was refused (premium credit who they got to take over the policy) they on several occasions tried taking the money early and late and given £25 charges each time it wasn't in when they chose to take. I asked for to be changed and offered to pay a month in advance and was refused. Fast forward after so far paying £258 insurance the insurance has been cancelled 5 months early and they now want another £150 extra for cancelling

Poor customer service. If you have a non fault claim ,this insurer will give your case to a management company auxillis who's only goal is cheap corner cutting repairs to keep costs down for the other parties insurer. Pay the extra and go somewhere else

I have been trying to contact them for Renewal/cancellation of my policy, wasted 20 mins on Chat they dint help, no one is picking up the phone. no reply on email as well. Insurance cancellation should be easy, they should send the NCB straightway.

“My 18 year old daughter insured her first car with...”

My 18 year old daughter insured her first car with them and got quoted £2327 which we paid straight away. Two months later the car failed the mot so we decided to scrap it as was going to cost more than what it was worth. Brought a new car and asked them to transfer the policy which they refused and wanted an extra £5000 which we simply do not have. Was told by their own customer service advisor to go to another insurance company as the person who deals with our particular insurance company was on holiday! We did indeed go to another insurance company who insured her for less than their original price and spread payments over 12 months interest free. Asked for some money back as she was only insured for 2 months with them and we had paid a year upfront. They charged me £957.23 just to unsure her for that period which is over 40% of the total policy. On top of that you will wait hours to get through to them and they will push you pillar to post. Day light robbers and at least D Turpin wore a mask! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Insurance on line got a message to call them to confirm some storage details for my camper they then decided I needed to pay another £86 which I refused had the insurance for less then a day and now they want me to pay another £60 to cancel which is on top of my deposit. Avoid at all costs . Nothing good to say about them .

The worst insurance company I ever dealt with. We insured our campervan with them and they gave us such a "ride" we had to cancel after 7 days. Constant messages and letters demanding extra paperwork and hidden fees. Looks like the cheapest but at the end turned out most expensive. We paid for the whole year in advance, after 7 days we had £68 back...and nervous breakdown for free. I would not recommend to anyone. If only I read all those bad reviews they have before...

Wish I had read this before I insured with them, I am having a similar experience, worst insurance process I have ever had! I have had written proof of my NCB sent to them and they are still charging me additional fees,

I insured my van with adrian flux and was asked for my no claimes and milage. I forwarded my no claims from email off last insurer and told someone over phone my milage. I asked if they needed anything else. They said no. That was in march. On saturday out the blue my insurance was cancelled. Looking back i did get an email saying they could not open my attachment, i missed it. That was it. Now i have a cancelled insurance and it will up my preiums and they want nearly double to be paid again to be insured. Minimal warning and no understanding. Avoid.

I have been with Adrian Flux car insurance for almost two years missed my direct debit this month because I was off work with covid, I got a letter two days later threatening me with having a default on my credit file for 6 years and was charged £27.50 on top of the £21 monthly payment which they took 7 days later from my bank. I had to borrow money to cover their late payment charge. I emailed them to explain my circumstances but no reply, they are quick to get in touch when they want money with threatening letters. Can’t wait until my two years is up never against my with this gangster company they are absolutely shameful.

My son had a learner policy with my husband as a named driver for around £300, he passed his test with 6 weeks left on the policy, they quoted him £7200 to insure his £600 18 year old Renault Clio, this car has a small engine, we got a better insurance policy through Direct Line for £1400, we were told he was not entitled to a refund of the outstanding policy & they cancelled the insurance immediately without request, leaving the car stuck at a garage. Terrible service, each call took a excess of 45 minutes on hold whilst the untrained agents disappeared, terrible service all over & not refunding or allowing the policy to be changed!!!

As I have spent over £16000 converting my van in to a camper van ( or Van with Windows as the DVLA now call it) I wanted an agreed value of £22,000 (includes the cost of the van). I set up a policy with Adrian Flux on this basis. When the schedule came through it was on an estimated value only. This was not what we agreed on the telephone and their agreed value only came through afterwards and it was for £16,000. So I phhoned up to cancel and get my premium refunded. Bearling in mind that this was before the insurance was due to start and within the 14 day cooling off period, they charged me £15 to cancel. The insurance wasn't even set up yet!

I bought a second car and it was suggested I rang Adrian Flux to Insure it, Which I did, 3 weeks later I exchanged this car And bought another, Phoned Flux to change the car details & was told I had to pay almost double the original price, I paid has I needed the cover for this car,Out of curiosity I tried another company, And their cover was half the price Of Flux,I contacted Adrian Flux and Told them And asked them to cancel the policy,NO PROBLEM I was told, I asked for a refund And was told, READ THE SMALL PRINT, (No Refunds), I had the policy only three weeks, Not happy, Pleas be aware of the small Print if you are likely to be in a similar situation, I am now stuck with Adrian Flux for the next 11 Months, Not a Happy Customer.

AVOID Adrian Flux!!! AVOID Adrian Flux!!! My instructor has introduced this company, he paid for just over £60 per month of learner insurance for his daughter, than he sold the car to me, and I have to pay £220 for 1 month learner insurance police with Adrian Flux on Fri (31/01/2020) for same car. Unfortunately the car broke down today (03/02/2020), so rather than waste the £220 for one month, I thought that I could cancel within 14 days and get money back. Guess what, NOT POSSIBLE.....Beware, avoid.

Received e-mail today saying they can't renew my insurance As I am in Spain at the moment And my insurance ends on 22/09/2019 AND I AM NOT BACK TILL 27/09/2019 Reasons why they have no copy of my driving licence I have been insured with them for years never asked for a copy before Apparently it's a new thing they are doing SO BE AWARE YOU TO COULD BE STUCK IN SPAIN WITH SHORT NOTICE THAT THEY WONT RENEW YOUR INSURANCE DONT GET CAUGHT OUT APPALLING SERVICE

“Not to be trusted.”

I would actually give them less than 1 star if possible, absolute patter merchants and anybody looking for van insurance should avoid them like the plague. I got some prices from a comparison site and this shower of chancers were the cheapest, or so I thought.....a day or so later I received an email at 5.50pm urging me to call them urgently/immediately to discuss some details, so I called straight away to have the answer machine tell me the lines close at 5.30pm, fantastic. I called them back today to discuss what the issues may be, the call handler was borderline rude and very intrusive when asking questions why I would want a van, I said for social use but she seemed to already have judged I'd need it for work use due to my occupation. When I said my company provides me with transport she then asked why I would buy a van and not a car, I then had to tell her that I enjoy outdoor hobbies like paddle-boarding. Now i know they have to ask questions and that's fair enough but the persistent manner in which they do is horrendous customer service. I put the wrong details of the accident I had been involved in several years ago, this was an honest mistake and my fantastic car insurance company (Admiral) dealt with it brilliantly and never harassed me following it so I never had all the details available, I made no claim but the other guy did so I put incident-no claim made, but did declare it. So the cost to amend this and taking into consideration the accident was coming in at £342 on top of the original £312, I then asked her a couple of times if that was correct because I thought £342 would be fine but £656 was wayyyy too much, she continued to say yes it was correct so I declined the offer and asked to cancel the policy that then cost me £52 including admin fee. I went back to the comparison site and thought maybe she had made a mistake, nope the second call handler confirmed it as correct. I then contacted my car insurance company Admiral and they helped me massively and added my policy to my existing car policy (great news for people with cars and HOBBIES that require a bigger vehicle) they also gave me the full details of my accident a few years ago over the phone, I went with their fantastic price of £197 until both renew concurrently in March (full year was £375) and thanked her for her kind manners on the phone whilst explaining my earlier experience. All sorted now and I have learned a costly mistake, do not trust this crowd as to me it seems like they look for reasons to make you cancel so they make quick money. The reason I say this is that I then, out of curiosity, entered all the correct details in the comparison site after receiving them from my insurer and the price these co n artists were offering? £353.16, one wonders were that other £300's was going but i'm glad I called back to confirm. Absolute chancers, AVOID.

“Ridiculous Fees!”

Company okay for initial price, never had to claim so cannot comment on that. Their cancellation fees are astronomical. They state certain fees and charges in their T&C's but with a couple of other 1 liners they add in another host of fees, from themselves (commission) and from the original insurer. My Policy was £289 for 12 months. After 28 days of use and all of their fees my refund was £149. Take note and be warned.

I've had 3 warnings, has anybody experienced this? What were Adrian flux actions? I’m so worried I wasn’t aware of the speed limit on a main road being 20mph however I’ve done 30mph on it for the past 3 days and worried my acocount is going to be suspended.
