Good Points: Very helpful and polite staff in UK call centre! Very quick pay out when had to make a contents claim.
Bad Points: None so far!
General comments: Good price on both my motor and household policies and also very helpful staff and efficient service.
No fuss or trouble at all when had to claim on my household policy.

I have just had my first accident claim in 37 years of driving - I found the clams staff very helpful and everything went really smoothly in respect of getting the car sorted out - I live in the Chester area and opted to use their recommended repairer - Lookers on the Deeside Industrial Park.

I have been with Liverpool Victoria for many years and have had to make 2 claims. One was for an accident in Germany which they dealt with very professionally. The second was for a stolen motorcycle which they made an error with by Taking the excess off twice. They rectified the error straight away. The best part is the UK call centre which answers straight away. There is never a fuss when I change vehicles. They are cheap for me but I am 50. They may not be such good value for younger dr ...

We have had a very bad experience with Liverpool Victoria Car Insurance and it is continuing. Their attitude towards customers needs imporvement. When you insure with a company you have to have confidence that your property is secure and covered by the insurance you take out, after our recent experience with Liverpool Victoria we are far from happy that this is the case.

I recently had a crash and my car went into the garage provided naturally by my insurance company StoneAcre (October 25th), however once I received my car back after the fix there was a major problem with the steering. Cheaper than all other quotes I found, and I looked and lots of companies and also the comparison sites such as moneysupermarket and confused.com.
Liverpool Victoria were the cheapest of what I looked at.
The website it easy to use too, where you can easily update car details etc without having to enter all your other details again.
I'd recommend this to anyone.

Liverpool Victoria are now disappointingly bad for car insurance. I have been with them for 17 years and have always auto renewed, never really looking at my monthly payments - until now. I have been paying £640 a year fully comp, for a 10 year old Rover. I have recently changed to a company that offers EXACTLY the same cover for £270 a year.

I would recommend them. All staff I dealt with had a pleasant manner. They were very helpful and reassuring when I was making a claim, and Liverpool Victoria car insurance kept me informed of progress. I was never left for long periods on the phone, and I felt confident in them.

Overall, I would give them an excellent rating, and I would definitely recommend them to others. They offer a good service, and there are no forms to complete, and a replacement car is provided. The only downside is that there is no choice of repairer in my area, but Liverpool Victoria Car Insurance offer a good value service.

I have been with them for 5 years now, so it can't be all bad. It's not the best price for my wife's 2005 Vauxhall Tigra, but it includes unlimited mileage, business use and continental driving included, and they allow more than one named driver and young driver (17 year old learner). You must however use their repairers in the event of an accident, and the quality of the repair was not to the standard I'd expected.

I have had fully comprehensive car insurance with Liverpool Victoria for 2 years. Ever since I was 18. They were by far the cheapest during both years.
The 1st year was £1500 and included a 50% no claim discount, so I thought next year my renewal quote would be £750, it wasn't. My renewal quote was £1100. They claimed payment by direct debit even though it had been cancelled a whole month before. This incurred bank charges to bank account which they should refund, so I'm continuing to pursue this.
When we telephone, we get a different person each time. One member of staff was very nice, but did not do what she said she would. Other staff have been quite unhelpful.
