Good Points: Good Service. Fast. Understanding.
Bad Points: Expensive.
General comments: I really just think this is a great card, I never have had any problems from all the time i have used it.

The card is reliable (so far didn't have any problem with it). Although in my opinion, the fee charged to have a Visa Debit Card from Barclays is ridiculous. It doesn't make sense that to be a Visa Debit Card from Barclays is more expensive (yearly) then to be holder of a Credit Card from other issuer.

I have applied several times for a Barclays debit card.
I do not have any debt history. Why is Barclays not co-operating.
I have a job and I have run the account for almost 2 years.

I frequently travel around the world and rely on my Barclays Debit card. I often pay hotel bills and other large ammounts on it. When I bought my wife a 30th anniversary gift last Christmas my card was refused. The retailer was asked to check my passport and any other ID. They were all checked out OK. Still refused. No explanation. All staff turn their backs on you to save your embarassment. You retire to die of shame. On returning home from the U.S. Barclays told me this was OK and was done ...
