Good Points: excellent looks, excellent handling, POP-UP HEADLIGHTS! ;-) easy to modify, VERY QUICK!

Bad Points: Nissan parts cost £OUCH! Hi-maintenance.

General comments: I've had my Nissan RS13 200sx for 7 years and never had any major issues with it until something got inside the engine after some maintenance and that was at nearly 130k miles! I've heard the horror stories about the big-ends etc, a specialist told me to never take it past 6500rpm on the standard crank and it would be fine, seems he was right! If you have an S13 I think it really is a case of look after it and it will look after U! Change the oil every 2500 miles and use ONLY high quality fully synthetic oil and you shouldn't have too many probs.

I liked it! I wanted it! I bought it! Problem is the car at the moment isn ' t producing power AT ALL! I don ' t know if its not mapped on the bigger turbo or if its because the bearings is starting to clucking but it isn ' t a bearing knock, not yet that is. And people don ' t want to dyno because of the bearing.

I started off with a Kia Pride then my Focus tdci sport and 2 weeks ago i bought a 92 Nissan 200sx for £500. It is in mint condition, runs well looks great, sounds better than my neighbours scooby (maybe)! The power quality, with my mates driving prelude 2.2's, Audi 2.8 v6's, zs 2.5 v6's etc a needed something faster, and defenetly found it! Have drove all of the above and would never compare! Only bad thing is there's a leak coming in my boot which I can't find, been told either lights o ...

If you are looking to tune your 200sx 9 times out of 10 its alot cheaper to either import one thats allready been tuned or buy one in your home country that someones allready spent the time, not to mention the money required to tune a car properly, however be awear of abused examples.

I've had my S13 for 4 years - it has 137,000 miles on the clock but I now have a problem with it - it starts 1st time but after it has been driving smoothly for approximately 20 minutes with no loss of power the engine then starts to run lumpy and tickover is lumpy - there is no loss of power, no smoke coming out of the exhaust and I'm not loosing water or burning oil - I've already changed the spark plugs and am going to change fuel filter - can anybody please help diagnose what the problem cou ...

The Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 is for those of you who want a fast car for not a lot of money. Mine was £1350 about 9 months ago with 89,000 miles. For that price the turbo had been replaced and the car was tuned to stage one (approx 200bhp). I bought the car with the knowledge I was only going to do low mileage in it. This is because the big end bearings on these cars tend to wear out between 90 000 and 130 000 so be careful!

The ride is very comfortable, and the steering is very quick, t ...

I've only had the Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 sports car for 1 week but it feels like a lifetime, as it's realy easy to get used to. Confortable interior (at least the front seats) Hopefully i'll be able to bring it with me to America! Does anyone know the procedures to register this car in Florida even though is's now registered in Romania? My e-mailing adress is Pantel@myself.com. You can realy smoke them guys in bmw's and it's more fun doing that than almost anything. It's like going hunting.

I've owned two manual Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 Sports Cars and agree that power for buck, there's no comparison. I travelled approximately 40,000 miles between them.

I had a ball of a time wasting my Bridgestones on a track day. Talk about adrenaline rush, flat out power slides on the corners and through the chicane, I learnt more about that car's control in a day than a year of road use. The steering is quick but because the power steering is too light it makes reading the road surface a l ...

I got my H Reg, Red Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 this year (2004) with 45,000 miles on the clock. It is a beauty. Needs work but its 14 years old so of course it will. Anyone who pays 8 to 15 grand on a new car is mad when things like this are openly available. I did have a Citroen C3, what a mistake. This is a real car for real men. Just be careful in the wet with the rear wheel drive.

Love the Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13, real fast and very well built. Only had it about two weeks so far and loving it. However already run into my first problem, some air is escaping somewhere in the engine bay, making an awful noise as it bypasses the exhaust. When it started, it only sounded at maximum boost now it does it at tickover. Not a big problem, just a leak but garage can't find it. Its going to have to be stripped, could take up to 6 hours labour at £70 an hour.

    But is it w ...

The Nissan 200 sx turbo (S13) is a mad car. After my 16v calibra, the acceleration was terrifying.I love the look of those Golf GTi boys in my rear view mirror. Even made some guy in a 328ci feel stupid. Started using BP Ultimate fuel and got two 0-60 times of 6.6, and thats with two people in the car and no mods. Its all nuts. Most people have no idea what the s13(turbo) is capable of and thats what I love.

This Nissan 200 sx turbo (S13)is a wolf in sheeps (ish) clothing! It has blistering performance, with an awsome turbo kick that puts passengers right back in their seats. If you didnt wear seat belts before, you will now! Have fun leaving cars for dust when you drop into second and third, and toy with the back end as you drift around we roundabouts! Then, if thats not enough you can uprate everythign on this car to the spec you want, making it an unbeatable coupe - afterall thats what it is, a ...

For my 17th birthday, my dad bought me the car i've always wanted, a 91' 240sx. Fact, I could of gotten a 94 supra tt, but I went for the nissan! Anyways 2 days after the purchase, I made a full head conversion to s13 and a week after, I threw in a sr20 motor. 3 months later, my dad decided to put in a brand new hks turbo upgrade kit. Thanks to my dad and all his wealthiness, i've smoked 300zx's, 1 supra, all domestics, except for a 500hp rousch mustang.

I'm 19 and from south jersey. For graduation i recieved a Nissan 200 sx. My first car was a 93 probe gt. Wow, what a big difference. Being a girl, my dad was cautious about what car i was getting. He thought the Probe was too much for me but i loved it. It was fast, had an awesome stereo, not to mention special racing wheels that were absolutly beautiful. When my dad brought home my 98 200sx i was shocked. I liked it because it was a newer car and it was black, but all around i was highly disapp ...
