    Food, rooms, location. Stayed at the Esmeralda Playa in July 08, overall good. Bad points the bar prices. I would recommend. Excellent customer service.

    We had read a few good and bad reports about the Esmerelda Playa in Costa Adeje, so we arrived with an open mind.

    What a delight! The hotel was spacious, clean, and with a very impressive entrance.

    When we arrived we were expecting a twin room with a put up bed (for the 3 of us) with a mountain view. To our delight we had two adjoining rooms, both with a door onto the large balcony overlooking the sea! The pools were lovely, although it was a good idea to put your towels down on sun loung ...

    Having read previous reviews by other guests of the Esmeralda Playa in Tenerife, we approached our holiday with quite negative expectations. We were however delighted by every aspect of our stay, particularly the food which was varied, plentiful and of good quality, completely the reverse of some of the reviews we had read.
    Our only niggle was the early morning noise at about 6:30am every day coming from the lifts. We thought, being on the 9th floor, that it could have been the lift housing.
